Worked fine on my 3rd party battery. Very satisfied.

The battery is much cheaper here than places like amazon. It also is much more reliable than a 3rd party battery.

Most of us need at least ONE spare battery for a camera like the GH3. 3rd party batteries are just becoming available at reduced prices and they actually communicate power status to the camera. But I learned with the GH2 that aftermarket batteries just do not give the same service per charge the OEM batteries do. So I count on the genuine article.

I bought 3rd party once. Battery expanded in my camera and was a bit of an issues to fix. I’ve had Fuji batteries at -20 deg and 110 deg and they have never failed me. A bit more expensive, but worth the peace of mind

First thing to know is that I was lucky enough to get this for free with my new D750. However, that wasn't initially the case. I had pre-bought a 3rd party grip which was well rated online and on Amazon. Then I bought the D750. A very short while after I bought the D750, Nikon had a short window where they were offering the battery grip for free with the purchase. It was within the return window and B&H graciously agreed to send me a Nikon grip for free! B&H is fantastic!!! Anyway, I had a short time to use the 3rd party grip. It was only $75 and came with a free battery and a few other features. It was plastic but seemed very sturdy so you couldn't tell once it was on the camera. There were 3 issues though. 1) The battery it came with was recognized in the camera but was not recognized in the grip. 2) the battery in the grip definitely drained while the camera was off. 3) I wanted a sling strap connected to the tripod mount and I was fearful of my entire camera being subject to the quality of the plastic grip. I figured I could live with first 2 issues and I'd get a safety strap before using a sling strap anyway. However, I was able then able to get the Nikon grip for free. The build quality difference is not noticeable to the eye but when you pick it up and connect it to the camera you definitely feel it. There is no battery drain issue, it's genuine Nikon and I have no fear of the quality (I'm still using a safety strap at least for the foreseeable future because I simply don't want to risk my brand new $2k+ camera. If you can get it for free, it's a no-brainer. If you can swing the difference, it's worth it. I understand that it's expensive and really shouldn't be but if you are looking to use a sling strap so you rely on the tripod mount, don't cheap out on the battery grip! Knowing what I know after having both I would not buy the 3rd party grip again.

I've used 3rd party lenses in the past, but if I am going to spend $1000 plus dollars for a camera/lens, I believe it is a good idea to use the best battery available. I do not want to find myself on vacation and the backup battery has issues. Spent the extra few dollars for a good battery.

I've had 3rd party batteries and they all got swollen at some point. They also never could match the Fuji batteries capacity and the camera would power off unexpectedly when one bar or less remained. I got tired of worrying about batteries getting stuck in my camera so I bought another genuine Fuji battery and I'm never looking back again. The Fuji battery will last years and provide great performance.

I purchased a packaged deal camera and this as second battery not realizing there was a second battery in the deal. I'm glad I did, the battery in the deal was a 3rd party battery that was subpar in comparison.

I was concerned that a 3rd party battery might cause the camera to reject it or limit some function but that hasn't happened. The high price of the Canon one convinced me to take a chance on this and I think it was the right choice.

Holds charge longer than 3rd party battery. I have both and the slight up charge worth it.
