3Tb Passport External Hard Disk

The only thing better, maybe, than this 2TB My Passport Portable Hard Drive would possibly be a 3TB hard drive. If you need portability with easy access to your files this is it! B&H has the lowest delivered to your door price anywhere that can be found. Lower prices are advertised but shipping and tax take it up to almost local retail.Have not discovered a downside to this product and doubt I will.Thank You B&H!

I recently purchased a pair of 3TB My Passport USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drives for Mac by Western Digital to replace two 1TB external drives, which I've used for the past year. While they're small enough to fit into a pocket or purse I use one of them to fit into a safe deposit box at a local credit union. The data on that one is a mirror image of what's on its twin, which is kept at our home. Back-ups to both are done weekly and by using this method I have an exact copy of all my data stored off property in what should be a very secure location. Before using the external drives I format them to free up more space and then rely on the software provided by Apple to backup my MacBook Pro and earlier.

After having great luck over the years with WD Passport (spinning disk) drives and then trying a WD external SSD (which has had multiple issues), I returned to obtain another of the Passport (disk) drives with which I've had much success over the years.

What a relief to know that I can download all the new games without worrying about space on my hard drive. The set up was as easy as plugging it in. I can't believe I ever used a console in the past without this. Game changer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love to play Xbox but I have always had a problem with the amount of storage the games need to play them. This 3TB gives me more than enough room to download all my games and more. Some of my games are almost 100gb and without the extra external storage it would take up almost hard drive. Hooking the external hard drive up was very easy and just needed to be plugged in directly to the Xbox. The Xbox will recognize it and will be ready to move downloads and store them as needed. The hardrive may look small but 3TB is a very large amount of space! This external hard drive is great quality and I'm pleased how easy set up was with it.

I am using this case to store my WD 2TB My Passport External Hard Drive. The cover is semi rigid which provides some protection against accidentally banging the hard drive, although I would not want to drop the hard drive. It also provides a separate area for storing the USB cable which comes with the hard dive. Very convenient.

I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital.

This is my favorite external disk now!

WD 5TB My Passport USB 3.2 Gen 1 External Hard Drive (2019, Black) Works perfectly for TimeMachine back up on MacMini -late 2014 OS10. Reformatted drive before using. Good price for just a little bit more memory.
