4 Port Hard Drive Docking Station

If you have a lot of loose hard drive but don't want to buy an enclosure for each drive, you need this docking station.

This hard drive docking station is terific in a lab environment or anywhere you need to format or image a large volume of drives. It supports both 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch drives over USB 3.0 so speed is not an issue. When connecting the smaller 2.5 inch drives a plastic shield pops up to protect the internals from dust, etc. If I had to change one thing about this docking station it would be to have a similar protection shield when no drives are in use but this is only a minor annoyance. I was able to attach three monitors to my Dell Inspiron 17 - 3780 Laptop but I needed two display port to HDMI cables to attach my two HDMI monitors - and when connecting to the Display Ports the one HDMI out on the docking station replicates one of the Display Port outputs... combined with using the HDMI out on my laptop and the screen of my laptop I have four monitors now - it would have been nice to attach five if the HDMI out on the docking station wasn't replicating one of the display port outputs... In any case, the universal dock has been rock solid so far.

As a tech enthusiast who often switches between multiple displays, this docking station really comes in handy. This laptop docking station has a lot to offer for people that have laptops with no docking feature option. I have an Ultrabook with only 2 USB ports and no other option like Ethernet and as soon I connected it, just work great and plug and play. Great features like the gigabit ethernet port, USB 3.0 4k DisplayPort, audio port, 1 USB Type-B (for a printer)and lock port. I had no problems and I recommend it.
