4 Port Wireless Modem Router

Small enough to fit into my IT cabinet and power my cable modem, router, and 16 port switch. I now have a one-stop device that can provide UPS for all of my key devices. Highly recommend! 5 |

The switch has one port for connecting up a level to a server, a router, a modem to the internet, or even another switch. Then it has 4 more ports for adding a subset of devices to your home ethernet that will communicate with each other at 1Gb. For instance, I connected my computer, a NAS storage device, and an Epson printer to the switch in my office. I then connected this switch's uplink port to a second switch in my wife's office. In that room, the second switch's uplink port is connected to our AT&T modem/router, and to my wife's computer on the same subnet as the switch in my office. All connections, except the one to our slow AT&T moden/router, were made with Cat 6 ethernet cable. With this configuration, my home network works at 1Gbit between devices, which is nice for using the NAS storage for backing up either computer, sending large photographs to the printer, and for playing the iTunes music stored on the NAS. No re-configuring of the network was required. I simply plugged the switches in as described, replaced the Cat 5 cables, and it just works! 5 |

I needed a 2.5g port modem to match my router. Wanted it to have a multi gig connection with a failover connection. Works perfect for that. I have always trusted netgear and will continue to do so. 5 |

I got this modem to go with my fancy new gaming wireless router because I needed faster and better. It does the trick. Glad I got it! 5 |

This is been by far the best router period, and I just dont mean due to the speed. the options & security features this thing has had me shakin my head for 30 minutes at least.. talk about fully customizable, WOW. I did 4 hrs of in-depth research into this router and the most common issue was the AiMesh system. seems many just couldn't get to resolved correctly. I on the other hand along with my son simply plugged it in and did NOT to any firmware updates, got into the settings to configure to our network and my speed just lit up. I have giga blast thru cox, but my older asus router we thought might be holding us back since the modem was received 1 gig downloads, but the router was only allowing 430 Mps and out wireless was a bit worse. Werll I wanted the speed that I was paying for. Granted this is a very pricey router BUT. once connected not only did our speed match that of the modem, but we gained the 6Ghz band. all my son downloaded was 1 small file having to do with windows 11 and that gave us 700Mps wireless thru 5Ghz band and a tad less thru 2.4Ghz band. our range grew by id say 30 feet in all directions with a full 5 bars. man how nice it is to have those speeds. I think people arent sure about their own talents when it comes to AiMesh, I could be very wrong. but at least for us. it was up and running in 15 minutes and we now see 970Mps+ consistently. so all in all it was worth the extra chunk of money.. 5 |

I use these cables to connect my pc with the new wireless AC router and modem. They look solidly built, are thicker than your average Ethernet cables and are somewhat stiffer (perhaps due to the double protection layer). Simply wanted the best cables and I think these are it. Cannot say anything on the speed benchmarks, but I think when we get Google fiber the throughput may come in handy. 5 |

Upon doing a lot of research between other cable modem/router combos, I finally decided the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 was the best selection to fit my needs. I live in a home that is 1850 square ft and the wireless coverage reaches in all areas of the entire house with no problem as I performed multiple speed tests and the results were very consistent throughout. The setup through the router setup management interface was seamless and very user friendly. I was able to set up my 2.4Ghz, 5 GHz, and guest wireless networks in 3 minutes. I also like the fact that you can set parental controls to manage usage time and block inappropriate websites. The Netgear ReadyShare Vault is extremely handy for me so that I can share movies, pictures, and files across the network. Overall, I would highly recommend this product! 5 |
