Bought this light a month ago and it’s perfect for preparing estimates.

The features are almost mind-boggling. Performs two-sided scanning if needed, and the scan speed is the fastest I've ever encountered. Scan quality is excellent, even for color. The user-friendly software allows me to review each document or receipt before saving or exporting, so if I need to make adjustments I know right away. I use Quickbooks desktop version for accounting and had no trouble at all identifying fields and info I wanted to save and export. Should work equally well for Quickbooks online version. Being able to export as a "searchable PDF" is a big plus. It can also save documents as Word file or Excel spreadsheet data or even Powerpoint (Windows version). It even scans business cards. That's versatility not found in run-of-the-mill scanners. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but worth every penny if it saves time and frustration over manual recordkeeping and document retention. Setup was a breeze right out of the box and it has a very small footprint. It can be used either wired or wireless, with the ability to send scans to email or a smartphone. This thing does it all. I'm definitely impressed and will be recommending it to friends and family. My nephew is a farmer and my neighbor is a truck driver, and both professions require extensive recordkeeping. I'm sure that once they've tried this scanner the benefits will be obvious, especially to their wives who do all the accounting! This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ES-300WR Wireless Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

4th Samsonite backpack we have purchased.

I expected this to have some size but it exceeded my estimates....It's a serious piece of glass! My initial impressions have been very good. Mechanical quality seems solid and I'm very pleased with the optical performance. I replaced a Leupold Compact (on the other end of the size scale) and this is naturally much brighter but also easily resolves more detail. I'm still fiddling with tripod mounting and surprised at how much jitter is present. I use good tripods from my photo activities (Gitzo, Manfrotto, Induro) and it seems that the rubber in the plate to scope has enought give to produce motion. I'll need to fiddle with some cork heads and see if that helps. Have a good understanding of this units size and if it's for you, I think you'd need to spend some really serious money to exceed its optical performance.
