4 Tb Wd My Passport

If Western Digital made in an 8 TB shirt pocket portable external hard drive I could buy at a low enough price, I would. However, currently, it appears that only the 4TB size or capacity My Passport portable external hard drive is available. The current one I got is yellow, because that's the color I want it this time. I like to get different colored portable hard drive so I can more easily distinguish between them, since I keep different content on different portable hard drives. Last year, I bought a red colored 40b my passport portable external hard drive through Best Buy. I believe I paid around $130 or so for it. And it has worked just fine. I store all of my movies and digital videos solely on that red Drive. But it is getting close to being filled. So I needed to get another portable hard drive to put new movies on it. I'm just trying to figure out which movie is I will put on which hard drive. It has been so nice having them all on one drive heretofore, making searches for what I have and where I have it quicker and easier. I transferred all of my documentaries on to mine yellow it's hard drive that I just bought from BH photo. It seems to be working flawlessly, as my other WD My Passport drive has and does. I will add that it only took 3 days from the time my new yellow WD My Passport 4TB portable hard drive shipped from New York that I received it in Utah, which is great! (Usually, it often takes a full week)! It was a little weird to have to wait until a certain time in the evening, when The Jewish Sabbath ended, I suppose, before I could digitally order the hard drive from them on Saturday evening. However, I too am religious, and believe In keeping the Sabbath day holy--so I can understand why they do what they do, somewhat. I we paid around $110 for this WD 4 TB hard drive, which is about 20 bucks less than a cost me for the same hard drive through or from Best Buy last year sometime.

I bought this WD 2TB My Passport drive because I had already bought a 1 TB for my laptop and really liked it's size and usability. The 1 TB I bought while in Florida to back up (clone) the SSD. It fits easily in my laptop carry bag. When I got home, I really needed one for my desktop SSD as I had been using a full-sized WD HD & always had to attach a clumsy connector device. This one is SO MUCH EASIER! Plug it in and run my cloning software. BTW, I have ALWAYS used WD drives because I had a failure with another MAJOR brand and I couldn't get satisfaction for their service department. I have 4 always connected to my desktop for photo backups, and a couple of loose, bare drives.

The WD 4 TB Passport Ultra Ext. Drive works great for using the Win 10 File History function.  It has been in service for about 3 weeks and no problems have occurred.

This is my second 2 TB WD; it'll be used to backup my 2015 photos. I bought my first WD 2 TB Passport a year ago to backup all my photos for the year 2014. I've plugged and unplugged its USB 3.0 cord about 150 times now. It's performed flawlessly. Over the past four years I've bought 8 other Western Digital portable hard drives, most of them 1 TB. None has ever failed.

I have had my 5 TB Passport USB drive for 4 years, and no issues whatsoever. I have used WD drives for probably 20 years, and they have always proven to be the most reliable HDD around. I question the validity of the negative reviews. I have yet to get a bad WD drive. They are simply plug-n-play. Works every time. The only thing I would like to see improvement on is the backup software, but there are many options available that makes it a non-issue.

I have a WD Passport for my MacPro (1T), that I have used for 2.5 years; a WD 4T Book that I have used for 4 years; a 4T WD Elements external drive owned for 1 yr., a 2T WD Passport formatted for Windows for 1 yr., and I just bought an 8 TB WD Book on sale for $150, and I have never had a single issue with any of them. I just got this Black because I recently purchased a HP Omen desktop that has 2 external 3.5" bays, each already wired and ready for a drive. I wanted a 7200 speed because I am using this to store photos and videos. It has a 5 yr warranty also. I like using SSD, but I could not get the Samsung Evo 850 to fit properly in the external bays and will need to install the 2, 1-TB 850 Evo's on the inside of the desktop. So, the next best thing was to go with the fastest, most reliable product I could find....WD Black.
