I think this size is the best compromise. It's called a 36 but this one is actually almost 40 including the handle. Adjustable top shelf height is a nice feature. 5 |

I don't do any recording with this, but you could. I use it with my Astatic 40-116 Portable Desk Base for Gooseneck Microphones in my studio when recording voice overs. I use it to talk to the person in the sound booth. It works great. Clean audio. 5 |

The real estate! Opted for a 40 b/c the 49 is just too big for my desk, and it's perfect. Not quite as big as two side-by-side 27 monitors, but darn close. Reduces moving window around the screen A LOT. Bright enough for typical software use, and 5k resolution is fantastic. Worked easily out of the box w my 2021 MacBook Pro M1. Arrived 24 hours after ordering from B&H to CT. Highly recommended. 5 |

I use this to clamp a Magic Arm to my desk for Youtube videos. I love that it is adjustable, and easy to adjust. I have a very small space but this allows to get my Canon 5D dSLR in such an angle that it looks like I am in a studio and not my bedroom! 5 |
