I couldn't find the 3.7 volt version when buying the charger, batteries and tactical flashlight so I mistakenly assumed (I know, I know...)it would charge the 3.7 volt batteries, too. It doesn't now I must buy the 3.7 volt version and am stuck with 2 ea. of the 3 volt batteries w/charger that I don't want or need. but it does charge quick and stays charged, too. 5 |

I needed an extra charger to take with me on trips. I have the feeling this has some advanced technology for charging lithium batteries fast and safely. That may be why the price is high. This is how lithium batteries for cameras should be done. It's not too big or heavy, and has some intelligence so you get a decent warning before it dies. Bought separately it comes in a really nice little snap close plastic box to protect it. However, the best part is that Sony uses it in many different cameras (unlike their competitors who seem to have the battery of the month club). My HX80 and RX100 both use this cell. I do use the external Sony charger; which is much quicker than using a UPS supply and charging it in the camera. On travel, I only need one charger for both cameras. 5 |
