I expected nothing less of Western Digital because I bought one of their portable hard drives a few years ago. The 3.0 USB hard drive on the 1TB Elements SE has proven to be extremely fast even when transferring large amounts of files! Loaded the USB 3.0 CD on Windows 7, installed the Western Digital USB 3.0 PCIe card, plugged in Western Digital 1TB My Passport USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive and started WD SmartWare. Walked away. All 700GB were duplicated in short order and system now maintaining auto backup. Working as advertised. USB 3.0 is FAASSST! 5 |

Purchased with Western Digital 4TB My Passport For Mac portable external drive. This fits the drive very well, with enough space inside the case to also hold the USB 3 cable. Case also has an external pocket to hold other items such as USB thumb drives or SD memory cards. 5 |

This is the second Western Digital 2T USB drive I purchased. I've had one for about 8 months without any problems running it on Windows 7 on my PC. I bought a second one for additional back-up. To run two of these on the same computer you have to go to disk management and activate the second one or it won't show up as even plugged in. Don't be concerned about this as it only takes a minute through control panel. 5 |

Western Digital has always made good products. I've never had a problem with any of their USB external hard drives. I store and edit video from this hard drive and it works great. Very slender hard drive but durable. The cost is reasonable for what you get. 5 |

I usually use hard drive to save vidio and pictures. This hard drive has a large enought capacity to keep everything I want. Because this is USB 3.0, it's faster than traditional USB 2.0, so this make tansfor big file no matter from hard drive to computer or computer to hard drive very fast. 1G big file only take approximately 20 seconds. For the portable properties, its light weight let me carry it without waste energy! Last but not least, western digital hard drive is in very good quality. I have a western digital before, it can also work after 5 years. I highly recommand this wester digital hard drive! 5 |
