4K Dslr Or Mirrorless Video Camera

We typically travel with a DSLR, a mirrorless 4K video camera, and one or two snapshot-type fixed lens cameras. Naturally, all take different batteries. With the Watson system (and it is a system) we only need one charger body (multi-voltage for international travel) and a small, thin adapter plate for each battery. Really cuts down on what you need to carry.

After feeling like I had mastered my entry level DSLR, I started researching my options for an upgrade. During my search I came across the new mirrorless technology and was instantly intrigued. Having the functionality of a DSLR but with a much more lightweight and smaller body really appealed to me. The mirrorless technology was what originally got me interested, but the 4K photo and video are what finally sold me on this camera! That, and the intelligent auto feature. Although I know full and well how to shoot in manual, I find myself keeping it in intelligent auto mode because it takes such great photos (especially in low light situations). Combining the 4K photo and intelligent auto mode will guarantee that you get an awesome photo every time. It's perfect for capturing beautiful action shots of the dancers that I instruct and freezing those special moments when my 3 year old decides to chase after us with the garden hose. I own so many lumix dslr. This is the best Camera I ever have. 4k video and photo is amazing. Compare to my Gh4, this camera is much better. Hard to beleived.

This is a little shotgun mic specifically designed or mirrorless or DSLR video shoots. It's easy to set up and has a low profile. Insert the batteries and you're ready to go. One of the best features is that it turns on when you turn on the camera, or in my case, my little camera-mounted mixer, then shuts off when the camera is off. Sound is clean and clear if you're in a good range from your subject. The added fuzzy wind screen is a bonus!

I bought this camera for the 4K video capabilities and was extremely impressed. I had been debating between a more expensive DSLR or the Lumix G85 - and I am so glad I went with the G85. First - the higher priced DSLR's usually record in 1080 instead of 4K, so the image quality (for video) is better. Second - the G85 features exceptional image stabilization which is crucial for professional quality handheld shots. Third - the G85 also features weather-proofing which keeps me at ease when shooting outside.� I'd recommend buying a faster lens with an aperture of F/2 or larger to achieve the same DOF as a full frame DSLR. With the smaller image sensor, you'll need a wider aperture to achieve the same look. However, there are several affordable lenses on the market that will achieve this. The�Panasonic 25mm f/1.7 is the most affordable, but the�Mitakon 25mm f/0.95 can create truly stunning bokeh for a 4/3 camera. I also purchased the�Rokinon 85mm T1.5 Cine for extreme close-ups or distant subjects. All of these lenses, paired with the Lumix G85 offer exceptional bokeh that will instantly give your shoot a professional look. Just make sure to use the focus assist feature on the G85 with those wide apertures!

Great little camera. I carry this around when not wanting to bring a DSLR or Mirrorless camera.

An essential purchase for shooting DSLR or mirrorless. Shot video for 20 years using large shoulder mount cameras with built in NDs. A variable ND is quick and easy to use and adds greater flexibility to my small mirrorless set up.

These are fabulous for people that switch between shooting photo and video on a dslr or mirrorless set up. My Job calls for photos for website use and video for youtube and having the ability to easily and swiftly remove the strap and place camera on a tripod or gimbal is so nice

When SmallRig says "compact" - they mean it! Sturdy, well-built video head for most mirrorless/DSLR rigs. I shoot a Sony A7III with extended battery grip, and I wouldn't recommend going any larger. Tilt and pan are super smooth. I would highly recommend if your looking for a weight/functionality compromise on a monopod or small tripod.
