I had been looking for a more compact camera to act as the b cam for my GH4 (the GH4 is small but I wouldn't call it compact). The GX85 totally fit the bill! I've been using it handheld and the IBIS does a much better job with smooth handheld camera work than just about every optically image stabilized lens I've used. The pans are smooth and you don't get that jerky motion so coming in stabilized lenses. Combined with one of the Dual IS compatible lenses and you have IMO the BEST image stabilization available. 5 |

I was a little worried how these would stay stabilized on a flash unit mounted on the camera. The double strap in the back on the Quikbox works really well. The final effect of providing a softer light is excellent.It will get used quite a bit. 5 |
