4K Laser Phosphor Projector

This was a move up from an Epson 5030ub, so bulb based 1080p to native 4K laser is quite the jump. I’m projecting on a 135” budget 1.0 gain grey screen and the colors, contrast and brightness are spectacular. I sit about 14’ away and the detail and sharpness of the image is so much better than what I was used to. I love that Epson for what it is but this is in a different league. Having only had the projector for a couple of weeks, I’m still playing with different settings and testing various 4K media with my Oppo so still have to spend more time with this to really get to know it. The only con I’ve noticed so far is it can crush some black detail in difficult scenes but I may be able to tease out some image with some adjustment tweaks, not a deal breaker for me but worth mentioning. Also, my old projector was supposed to have a similar lumen rating and had about 900hr on the bulb but this is significantly brighter. Haven’t put the laser past 60 (50 is default) and won’t need to unless I am keeping some lights on in the room. Last thing is it is much quieter than the old Epson and is mounted right above my head so that is also a big plus, hope it stays this quiet. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this projector to replace an excellent Epson HD LCD projector. I was attracted to the laser light source and liked that this LG model had two separate colors which I thought would reduce the likelihood of rainbow patterns and indeed I haven't noticed these at all so far. The 4K is crisp and the picture is bright. HDR mode is very noticeable and I like the range of picture options. I use an Apple 4K TV and Xbox Series X so wasn't too interested in the onboard WebOS but its generally pretty responsive and intuitive so probably useful to have. The projected image does have a small thin light border and in super-widescreen 2.35:1 mode there are of course lighter bars at top and bottom; I'm not sure why with all the adaptive dimming technology they couldn't make it go really dark in those areas too, but projecting onto a wall with custom sprayed paint using MissisipiMan's formula in the AVSforum works really well with this projector and still looks better than the movie theater and is a big improvement over the Epson because of the 4K and laser technology, and is now useable in a brighter room. My advice is save your money on the expensive screen and splurge on this projector if you are thinking about it. I do think this technology is a generation ahead of the last and what's nice is it's also LG quality (I knew they made the best LCD IPS panels for computer displays as we have 6 of them, but now find they make really good projectors too) and really nice design and aesthetics. Switching on and off is fast and reliable and ambient noise seems quieter than anything else we have in the media room. We run a 30ft HDMI cable originally intended for 18Gbps through the ceiling and I was glad it didn't have to be replaced and meets all the XBox and Apple diagnostic tests at 4K/60Hz and 1080p/120Hz and works well with ARC sound too, even with a 3 year old receiver. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own LG projector PB60G is my first and still use till today as daily watching projector in 100” size screen in dark room. I really like this projector because it very small portable but still give good picture quality. However many technology change many of other media player devices now are capable of driving higher resolution beyond what my projector capable. Then i’m looking for upgrade my projector and what i’m looking for now is ULTRA SHORT THROW 4K LASER PROJECTOR. I search through many brand there are some cheap 4k projector but not liked or laser, some Chinese UST 4k laser project but I don’t like Android OS that come with it. Now LG has HU85LA that i’m looking for and still waiting for it’s coming out. So exciting about this projector. 5 |

The EF12 Smart Streaming Laser Projector is better than I expected. The clarity, color, video speed, sound quality and easy to setup. The projector is exactly what I have been looking to buy for years. I also purchased the carrying case and it is worth the money. I expected a cheap bag, this is very high quality. I have recommended this projector to my family and friends. I can wait for summer for outdoor movie night in the backyard. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LG once again brings the big throw back with the stunning Ultra Short Throw 0.19 inch CineBeam 4K Projector. We all have that Guy on the block that trounces on having the biggest TV on the block. But Boy no one is talking about him after this beautiful 120" Wall Projector on my block. Lets talk about this exuberating LG CineBeam projector that's making headlines on my block. The LG CineBeam 4K HU915QB projector comes beautifully packaged with the Magic Remote control which LG owners are very familiar with. I love the magic remote that brings air mouse and gesture control via Bluetooth. I mean its like holding a computer mouse but its all wireless and you wave and scroll through the projector like you would on your computer. The HU915QB Pojector is a stylish yet eloquent design that blends right with your stand albeit when you turn off the lights. Sitting discretely on the right black and grey shaded stand just makes it disappear as if it is part of the furniture. Where the Projector shines in is at its impressive output of 3000 lumens giving you very bright pictures. I would have the projector on in the day time and it would display its crisp picture. This Bad Boy comes built-in with a 40 watt two-channel sound system giving it ample amount cinematic experience . Along with this great package the projector comes with 3 HDMI ports of two which are HDMI 2.0 and the remaining as HDMI 2.1. A ethernet port, Dolby Atmos out and 2 usb connections. I'd have to say, having this projector when my friends came over for a game night just blew them away. I mean to their amazement they could not believe that a projector can just sit in front of a wall like a tv would and display a ginormous 120 inch picture. I noticed that my friends could be sitting anywhere in the living room and they could not be missing anything. 5 |

if you are looking for a living room tv replacement, ust laser projector, with incredible design, then just get this! i unplugged my old projector and streaming box, plugged the arc hdmi into my receiver, and was viewing stunning images on a cream wall. i don’t see any rainbow effects, but didn’t on my old dlp either. laser? yes! i am in 2020 finally! vivid colors, needs lowering of contrast, alr screen can only make this better, i don’t need one - i love the lightness. remote is supremely well designed. some early bugs (auto update not working, and bluetooth audio maxes vol between videos). so much more to write, limited by website - it’s magical! 5 |
