It just needs about 2 hours of sunlight for solar charging to last the whole day. The 16gb internal memory is more than enough for storage. You do not need to pay for any subscription to use this nifty little sophisticated security system. Integrates with both Google and Alexa for two way audio. Overall you just need to get this for your home and personal security!!!

Initially I set up my security system of two cameras and the DVR on a single 12v 3A power adapter with a splitter cable. Everything worked but there were squigglies in the brightest areas of one camera feed. I added this power adapter to drive just that (4k) camera and the squigglies disappeared. The 4k image is now clean and astounding.

If you need the speed of editing and the bandwidth of thunderbolt, you can't go wrong. I purchased an FS7 and the 4K footage was making Final Cut Pro stutter. BOOM, instant solution. It's soooo sooooo fast. Using the black magic speed test, I'm getting 380-400 results, and, the issue was resolved

I really like this HDD. It lets me run six 4K security cameras and keep about four days of footage while running the recording 24/7.

I only had 1 TB hard drive in my 4K home security system and would only get about a day worth of replay. With this new additional 10 TB I have 9 days and counting since I installed. This Seagate Skyhawk is the perfect solution. I just plugged it in and off I went. Very Happy. Fast delivery and well packaged.
