4Tb Solid State External Hard Drive

I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital.

I used this drive to clone a laptop hard drive to a solid state drive. Worked well.

Purchased this to transfer photos from another WD 4TB external hard drive as a backup.

I love having this 4TB drive in a compact size, and it's definitely my favorite external hard drive so far, writes quickly, and is super reliable. Only thing that I've noticed is that it sometimes buzzes against my desk, but if I move it that sound goes away. It definitely is quiet, but if your perception is attuned to it, you might hear it, there is also a slight vibration when you touch it, so that's probably why it buzzes occasionally when it's not flush to the surface of the desk.

I use this hard drive in an external Thermaltake USB3 dock for creating my offsite backups. The 4TB is perfect for my system configuration and the drive is fast and quiet.

My go-to external hard drive. Very dependable. Use this drive and a second WB 4TB to back up my photos - 3.75 GB.

I recently received this external hard drive but don't plan to use it until probably the end of the year. I have a blue 4TB My Passport that I've been using for several years with no problems, so am hoping this one gives good service also.
