5 Mbps Internet Virtual Router

My cable provider’s internet router has such bad coverage in our house. I would try to watch my favorite shows, but was unable because my speed was 5 mbps upstairs. Getting the Orbi, my whole home now has the same excellent internet speed of 80 mbps. Plus I have added security and a simple app to control everything! Love it!

My previous modem was throttling my internet speed, so I upgraded the modem, router and satellite to this 2 piece system. Installation was extremely simple and fast, took longer to unbox and call Xfinity to assign the modem than to do initial setup. Units look much better when in plain view than the previous electronics. Up and running, my download speed went from avg 60-100 mbps to a consistent 480 mbps. (My Xfinity contract includes 400 mbps data speed) The Orbi software for monitoring and is informative and easy to use or change settings.

I was having issues with my smart devices and streaming HDTV. My wireless system was only giving me about 100 Mbps even though my cable internet was 800 Mbps. I looked into buying faster internet and discovered if I I wanted the cable company’s top speed of 1.2 Gbps, I needed a new modem. I purchased the latest and greatest cable modem, which was one model newer and capable of 2.5 Gbps. My internet speed didn’t get better. So, I decided to replace my wireless router. I researched the wireless routers available. The three key areas I concentrated on were the WAN connection speed, coverage and wireless specifications included. The ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 was the best in all three categories and the only router I found that had all three top of the line specifications. WAN - 2.5 Gbps Wireless - WiFi 6E Home Coverage - One router and one node replaced one router and five nodes. My coverage is better with less nodes. All my smart devices and my streaming HDTV are working great and I’m getting 950 Mbps internet speed. Smartest upgrade I’ve made.

I bought this and the nighthawk router, paired together they work great and I’m getting more MBPS than I am even paying for!

Before I acquired the Unifi U6 Lite as part of the wireless upgrade solution (including a Unifi Dream Router - UDR and U6 Mesh Access Point), my client's wireless internet speed from their ISP modem was just 7.16Mbps... After the Unifi upgrade, not only did we have increased and more reliable wireless coverage, but the recorded internet speed test jumped from 7.16Mbps to 522Mbps...a 72.90 times speed increase!!! Impressive!!

This unit will do 1000 Mbps and our internet provider supplies 300 with option to 400 or 500. This modem will last long into the future. Great quality!

With the Covid-19 and everyone working from home we had challenges with our internet. I have 175 Mbps connection and my computer was showing 5-6 Mbps and everyone in the house was complaining (they could not get their class connected, me and my wife could not connect to the video). My friend suggested that I buy this router along with a Synology Mesh extender and now all devices in the house show upwards of 50 Mbps. It is very easy to set up too and would say that it is worth every penny.
