Good quality merchandise .... Price is excellent for a 500 GB portable hard drive(but actual space is 465 GB).The drive has been fast enough and totally quiet during reads/writes(but drive comes with no documentation (manual) or case/bag. Even with the best backup software the first full backup (100+ gigabytes) takes a LONG time (hours)). 5 |

I had a 500 GB M2 drive lying around that I bought just for gaming on Windows using my deep learning Linux box. It was fun to see what the latest GPUs are capable of in the graphics department, but then I realized that I don't have time for that and turned that drive into the biggest, fastest thumb drive I've ever known. 5 |

I needed a replacement drive for my Drobo. The existing 500 Gb drive was old and was giving signs of failing. Most of my NAS drives have been Western Digital, so I went for this one. The price was good for a 7,200 RPM CRM drive. Seems to be working well. Time will tell, but I have had good luck with WD drives so far. I would definitely buy from B&H, because some of the other vendor's do sell drives that have been sitting on the shelf for some time. This drive date of manufacture was 06/14/2021. 5 |

I used it to replace a 1 TB HDD drive by copying that drive onto a new 500 GB SSD. It worked fine to let me accomplish the task. 5 |

This hard drive replaced my 256 GB SSD, of the same make but an older drive. Boot times on the computer are about 4 seconds on, 4 seconds off, so fast my work computer (that also has an SSD) doesn't even get to the Bitlocker password before this one is fully on. 2 TB of storage is a great amount for photo storage (heavy camera user here) and light gaming, couldn't be happier with this drive! 5 |
