500Gb Flash Drive

I bought this drive to supplement the non upgradable 500Gb internal ssd on my wife’s IMac. It’s been in place for about a month now and is working great. The drive has Thunderbolt connectivity so it’s as fast or faster than the internal ssd. And it’s quiet (no moving parts). Time Machine backup works fine on it as well as the internal ssd so no issues there. All in all a good fit for additional storage.

I have been using WD Passport drive since they started at 500gb and the newest is now 5TB in the Ultra line. The unit comes with one cable USB-C, but they use a nice little adapter for USB-A that plugs one. The drive is fast for a unit that has no power supply. There is WS Security software that will encrypt all your files and keep everything safe. I have not had one of these go back unlike Seagate which is why I keep buying WD. Get a little padded case cheap on Amazon and you can take this drive with you anywhere. Great drive, get one you won't be sorry.

gutted the 1.5TB hard drive in this, put it into my drobo, and took a 500gb wd green and put it in this enclosure. works just fine. i like the fact that the enclosure is nice and minimal, no gaudy neon lights or whirring fans, which are completely uneccesary in hard drive enclosures.

I bought this SSD drive to replace a 500GB hard drive in my old laptop computer. After having it, the computer is improved on speed. This is very good, especially for the price $29.99.

Replaced my 500GB Samsung 970 Pro with this 1TB Samsung 980 Pro. Using Samsung's Magician software, I was able to quickly and easily clone my C: drive (boot drive) without any issue whatsoever. I have been using Samsung M.2 drives for many years. Just an all around excellent product and installion process. I highly recommend.

I inherited a Mac Trashcan at my office. It originally had a 500Gb internal drive. This allowed me to not only upgrade the internal storage, but flawlessly move from my old Mac to the new one without having to reinstall all of my software and settings.

Bought this to replace the optical drive with the stock 500GB drive that came with my 2012 macbook pro, stuck a 240G sandisk SSD in the original hard drive bay. works like it should only problem i had was a stripped one of the tiny screws getting the optical drive out, this has nothing to do with the product but should be know those little screws can be damaged easy so take your time!

I've used other products, but have never found a more reliable and speedy hard drive than Seagate. I have a 500GB and a 1.5TB and they run just fine. This 2TB is a welcome addition.

We already have a 500GB version of this same hard drive and I love the fact that it is basically a giant flashdrive, no software to get in the way. I just plug it in and let our computer's backup software save to the designated drive. The compact design is also a great improvement over our old external hard drive. I couldn't resist the price for this 1TB, we paid more for our smaller one just a year ago. Now we have one for the home computers and our son can take the smaller one to college.
