5.1 Sound Music

I bought the Beam as a basis for completing a 5.1 wireless surround set up in my lounge. Previously I'd used a Connect via a Pioneer amp to Denon MC37 speakers for TV and music. Although the previous set up was good, it's a lot of boxes and wires using coax from the Connect to the Amp could lead to the TV 'losing' the external audio. A now much simpler set up running the Beam from the TVs ARC3 HDMI, fantastic sound and the TV never 'loses' audio out connection. The sound quality and available volume is room filling, top quality whether streaming music, 4K movies and TV or HD. I have 3 Play:1's around the rooms of the house and a Play:3. My intention is to now add additional Play:1's and a sub to complete the lounge 5.1 system.

I bough these to replace some old and cheap ceiling speakers in a 5.1 setup. The moment I installed them and fired them up, the sound was amazing! Awesome for movie surround sound, brilliant for multi-channel music. They have just enough bass (add a sub if you want a bit more thump), but the mid and high range is incredible - I’m hearing new things in sound tracks that I’ve listened to for years (and I usually listen to music in another room with B&W high-end speakers). Amazing value for the money.

I do not think this is too expensive.I had previously used the z-5500, which this replaced; this is not as good but it is satisfying as a 5.1 solution when there are so very few 5.1 solutions for pc gaming available. In fact I am surprised and pleased with it to point of no longer missing the z-5500; when I realized this the other day I was so glad that I felt like writing a second review. I am able to adjust settings for my pc, windows 7, to play music or to play games, and with both I am happily satisfied. It is a satisfying sound, meaning to say there is not anything irritating or frustrating about the sound, esp since I have learned how to adjust the settings by practice; the surround speakers have a more distinct quality than the z-5500 surrounds, brighter I would say; the subwoofer is better than I expected, believable in games and in music both (although is does not move furniture like the z-5500 did). It has an attractive, to me, appearance. It is versatile.

I bought this after my older 5.1 receiver stopped working. The main reason we use this is for music and the sound quality is top notch! I was pleasantly surprised when the unit automatically detected my older SACDs and I was able to listen to them in surround sound through the HDMI connection! DVD Audio also sounds excellent. My only con is the Startup Guide does not mention "Setting your speaker pattern" which is found in the Operating Instructions.

Very happy with the 5.1 Home Theater Sound Bar!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This system replaced a Vizio VHT510 5.1.2 system that I'd had for about 10 years. That system was very good, but the M-Series Elevate system is a distinct improvement. The choice of different equalizations for different sources (Movie, Direct, Music, Game) is a plus. The bass can be literally (concrete slab) floor-shaking and can be felt in the chest. I tried the Music EQ setting via Bluetooth from my phone, using music I know well. It was impressive and accurate--no distortion or muddiness. The surround feature put me in the stadium for the World Cup final. Outstanding system.

I am using these as replacement speakers for my PC Z906 5.1 surround system, specifically for music from my turntable which is attached to my subwoofer/amplifier. I'm using another brand for my center speaker.

Replaced my Vizio 42 5.1 (S4251W-B4) due to an electrical storm even though it was plugged into a surge protector. I Was very happy with that system. Was surprised the replacement had such a smaller footprint. Satellites are very small but look great and sound even better. I have watched several action packed movies and couldn't be happier. Sound is crisp, clear and loud. Remote is also a great upgrade to the previous remote. It is now backlit and easy to see and operate. Set up as before is very easy. There is no compromise. The sound is worth every bit of the price and better then most more expensive systems. B&H is easy to do business with and I appreciated the expedited shipping! Vizio is the Best in the Sound bar industry!

This is my first time buying a 5.1 surround soundbar, and I must say I'm pretty impressed with the sound.

I actually bought 4 of these to complete my 5.1 surround sound system and I couldn't be happier.
