5.1 Speaker Setup

I have purchased 5 Amps some of the setup as all room audio, and some of them setup as part of 5.1 setup, all installed in media rack and hidden from the action. Sounds quality is the best I have ever heard, usability including airplay 2 makes it one of the easy to use system. Only down side is configuration, moving devices from room to room and changing role from main speaker to surround speaker (after adding a beam) is painful. After resetting amp, I am able to get this done eventually.

We use the sub in our post production studio's 5.1 setup. The speaker is clean and precise. Perfect compliment to the A8's. it was well worth the 6 month wait to get it.

After researching every speaker in a 5.1 setup in 2006, I listened to Black Sabbath Paranoid in the Best Buy Magnolia Room and these were a standout for the price and size. I have a 14x17 living room with little floor space. Once setup at home with a Sony STRDA5300ES receiver and Audio Quest cables, my friends and me were shocked how good this Pro Series sounded! 4 Pro 1000 monitor, 1 Pro 1000 center and a Pro 1000 sub. For close to 18 years this Rocked me and my neighbors every day! Poor neighbors LOL. They do get better with age and I can see why Def Tech still sells this line. Cannot go wrong with these if you need to save space and get amazing sound from movies or music. Mine were on the stands that go with them. I would definitely recommend these to anyone! I just recently upgraded to the BP9040 with Atmos module s and SR9080 a DN10 sub. My Pro 1000 are now kicking but in the bedroom!

A soundbar. I never really was a friend of soundbars, I always preferred true 5.1 speaker setups. But I always wanted to include the TV room to my Sonos multiroom setup. Since the beam is too small for the room, it was never an option. Now, the Arc. Finally. Exactly what I was looking for. A soundbar that is able replace my 5.1 speaker setup (it really performs at least as good as my old setup) and also offers Dolby Atmos (which my old setup was not able to handle). And, the TV room is finally part of my multiroom setup. The look of it might not appeal to everyone, but I personally like the "form follows function" design and I think that it integrates well into my home without being too prominent. Overall, a great product.

I bought these to complete my Dolby Atmos setup. (5.1.2) . Sounds excellent.

Sony never disappoints in the A/V bang-for-the-buck segment! Add this to a 5.1 speaker package and a 4k TV, and you're all set! Sure, it has no streaming apps or Dolby Atmos, but if you're looking for QUALITY 5.1 at a good Price Point...you SERIOUSLY need this receiver!

The speaker has a nice bass sound. It pairs well with the Sony 5.1 receiver with the RCA cord (included) . It has a power save switch on the back. You can leave it on all the time, or you can have it "click" off when there is no signal. Sometimes when the volume is low it clicks on and off during a single song depending on the strength of the bass signal. This can be fixed by just leaving it on all the time. I have a multi-plug surge protector to turn everything off when not in use.

This HTS10 has made a HUGE difference in the accuracy and sound reproduction of my entire Polk 5.1 speaker system! I am able to attach it to my Pioneer VSX519 receiver via the LFE connection and experience tight and exact bass that my older sub could only dream of creating! Kudos to Polk Audio on designing and building this 10" power house!

This is my first Sonos speaker and wow! I have an expensive Definitive Technology 5.1 package for our main space and a 2.1 Bose system in our master. These are 5-6 years old now but this one little speaker blows the Bose out of the water and it's nearly as impactful the 5.1 system. I haven't looked into multiple speakers for various rooms yet since I only have one but this little guy has sold me on Sonos! Great job Sonos team!!

Coming from using a true surround sound 5.1 speaker system with sub, amp and rears this lacks the experience that I am used to. But I intend on adding to it and I'm sure that will achieve what I'm looking for. Good if trying to minimise.
