I've been using protools for about 10 years in my recording studio and I think is the best software for record, edit and mix music. I got this version for working in my laptop and now I can work everywhere. The native plug ins woks very well and you can get others of your preference that run well too. For shure I will continue using protools in the future. 5 |

We use these for patching and for vocal studio mics, anywhere where we don't want to introduce noise into a mix in the studio. We also use them in patching for our live recording rig. Where we don't use them is the Live stage. Even with the warranty and their great durability, they are too expensive to be torn up. 5 |

I went back and forth on whether or not to purchase these due to the good reviews in some places and not so good in other places. But I didn't have much of a choice and I wanted to try to bypass the batteries if at all possible. I used two GoPro 4 Silvers to cover a 5 hour event and I actually left the battery in one camera and took the other battery out. They both worked flawlessly for the entire time and I came away impressed with these special power cords. So I'd say you've got a great shot at longform recording with these units! Technical note: I set the GoPros to 720p30p, one wide, one medium, using SanDisk Extreme 64GB microSDXC UHS-I cards. The recordable time showed as 5:56:41 (5 hours, 56 minutes, 41 seconds) I researched using 128 GB cards but I didn't find enough evidence to support reliable usage. I ended up recording just over 5 hours of content and I'm using PluralEyes (from Red Giant) to sync them together. It all works pretty well! 5 |
