I've had the camera for over 4 months, and I am constantly amazed by the images the camera produces. It is simply mindblowing. Gemini loves light in Standard Mode, and creates gorgeous images, which are not inferior to images out of Alexa in anyway in my opinion.

Now, you may be asking why would someone buy the Sony a specific tripod and use it for a Cannon EOS R? I like the colors. That's it. But yes, the a plate for the valley head does screw into the EOS R and will securely hold it. I bought this one because it came with the Joby 5k and was one of the lowest priced. The tripod is not an ultralight tripod, but it is small and compact for what it is. I enjoy the quality of the ball head and have used it on the Joby 5k almost daily. The tripod is able to have the center colum flipped so the camera can be close to the ground, but the leg with a handle DOES NOT unscrew and work as a monopod as I had thought I had seen. The cary case is nice but I don't know how often I'll use it as it is a little bulky. There are lots of reviews on youtube that explain it all very well so check those out if you want to see more. Improvements: Put a pocket inside the bag to hold the included hex keys for tightening the joints. I need a spot for them but do not want them in my normal camera bag. Love it though!

With the new 5K full-frame video option added with the latest firmware update, this ticks all the boxes for me. I do a lot of video work, landscape photography, and multi-media work including anamorphic, 360VR and gigapixel images. Mostly in pretty extreme conditions in Antarctica. This camera does everything brilliantly all in one package, and has almost immediately become my number one go-to camera. With the sigma adapter for my old canon glass my lens choices are pretty much unlimited. I mostly shoot full manual, but find the autofocus to be fine for everything I do too. The manual focus peaking options are better than any other camera I have used.

i use it for my sony nex 5k. it just likes a soft skin of my camera. right now, i can just throw my camera in my backpack, messenger bag, or just carry it without worry about the damage. if there is bigger size of touch-fastened closure is better.

When I use a camera strap to support $5K of camera and lens I am very particular of what I will trust. I believe in, " you get what you pay for" and I only trust RRS. Case closed!
