8 And A Half Inch Thermal Printer Paper

I use this paper on my Canon IPF5100 17 inch printer. I print my fine art photography on Hahnemuhle media only. The photo rag is archival and shows the color and texture of my prints better than any other media. I guess that in making paper for 500 years, they tend to get it right. I totally recommend this paper to anyone that prints and wants to make it look the best.

I love this printer. I can print documents, and with the 4×6 inch photo paper, you can print photos. You can make stickers and even your own business cards. This is a must purchase printer.

I tried this paper because it comes in 17x25 inch sheets which I like to use on my Epson Stylus Pro 3880 printer. I found it comparable to the Epson Ultra Premium Luster paper. The printer profile from ink press gave slightly more accurate results than using Epson's Luster Paper with Epson's profile. I prefer to use Harman by Hahnemuhle paper which also is available in 17x25 sheets but is currently on backorder. The Inkpress Luster paper would be my second choice, especially the heavier version.

Took a chance. Not marketed as a photo printer, but I’ve had 4 color printers in the last couple decades that did remarkably good photos, so figured this “5 color” printer should do at least as well. No disappointment. Getting dialed in, and the results are promising. May not match my Pro-100 or my Epson 1430, but is so close for most content it is of little consequence. This with old mystery roll paper I had from my HP that quit. The printer shipped missing the 3 inch adapters, so could not use the Canon paper ordered with the printer. I have no complaints, especially given the highly competitive price point. It is no speed demon, but I can wait. It is much larger than my 24 inch HP DJ120NR. It was also nice to see this printer can handle sheet stock all the way up to 24 inches. Another plus is much bigger and fewer ink tanks. Tired of the 8 or more tiny cartridges with horrific prices per ml in ink. Somehow when you run out it is always the color you don’t have in backup. Getcha one and have some fun.

I chose this paper to use with my large format HP printer as an upgrade from the standard 24 inch HP paper. The roll went on smoothly with the 3 inch roll attachment and printed spot on. I did create a custom icc profile for the paper. This is the way to go with any paper/printer combination even if you use an Epson printer.

I'm using this paper to produce full 8-1/2 x 11 inch prints from an HP inkjet printer. I've been looking for a product that resembled film prints and these look great. It really accepts the color of the inks very well and couldn't be happier with the results. It has a slight texture to it, the pearl finish, that may not be as extreme as the Epson Lustre but it works perfectly for my purposes.

My printer takes only 8.5 inch wide paper. I can split the 13x19 to make two 6.5x19 and use them for panoramic shots - either out of the camera or post-processed. Prints on the Platinum are practically indistinguishavble from what I see on the screen.
