I'm a one-man operation doing gigs with just me singing and playing guitar. I use a Bose L-16 speaker and a TC Helicon guitar/voice processor. Before, I'd have to go around to the back of the L-16 to make adjustments. First I bought a Yamaha mixer to go with my Bose L-16. It might have worked fine if I'd worked harder to figure it out, but I didn't. So, later, I splurged on this Bose 4-channel mixer, and I love it. It's small enough to rest on a stand attached to my mic stand and simple enough that even a cave man or I can operate it. I especially love having the mute buttons right in front of me. I also love that I now have a master volume control, which you don't have on the L-16. Slightly off topic, but I also recently added the Bose S-1 Pro + and the XLR remote. With this, I can plug the remote transmitter into the back of the L-16 and wirelessly send a signal to the L-1, which I can then use as a second speaker pointed at the audience or as a monitor pointed at myself. And since the L-1 is battery-powered, I can put it anywhere without having to worry about cords/cables at all. 5 |

I can use this speaker for connection with an 8 track recorder, turntable and bluetooth music with my iphone. The main advantage is inputs you can use at the same time. I can amplify my drum pedal and guitar at the same time during practice sessions. The speaker is not designed as a guitar amplifier, but it works fine for practice. Has a nice handle and easy to transport. 5 |

Needed two of these for a bass guitar extension cabinet. Very easy to build with speaker cable I had at home (16AWG works fine for a 2ft cable) and some hand tools- no soldering needed. Saved myself money and weight by not buying an overbuilt speaker cable. At $4/connector, I will probably pick up a few more to make backup cables. 5 |

I use them for hanging my leather guitar straps on an over the door hook between gigs - I use them for holding rolls of speaker or mic cable up off of the floor for my powered speakers - and I'm still looking for other ways to utilize these great little tools 5 |

This is a great easy to use speaker! Having three channels is a plus. I can plug my mic, guitar, and backing music in all at the same time. Also very light and easy to setup. 5 |

First, 60W will probably meet your needs in a small video studio. I only use 2-8% of the output. Secondly, a standard modifier platform (Bowens' S mount), has saved me a great deal of time. The lower cost silent heads would only accept barndoors, gaffing tape and aluminum foil. Far Far easier to repurpose old modifiers or purchase new. Previously, I would have to retape the foil at inopportune times. SILENCE is critical for me. Recording a cast once correctly is worth all the post processing in the world. Nothing beats SILENCE. 5 |

It takes some getting used to. I always shoot it at EI 100. It has all the tonal range you need right there. It always requires underdevelopment though, anywhere from 8% -15%. The highlights blow out very easily, and this helps control them. Scratches easily, a bit softer than HP5. The lack of grain looks phenomenal at a large scale. 5 |
