I bought this battery for my Canon EOS R when I saw it listed for uses with the BMPCC 4K camera because they use the same battery. Sure enough it works perfectly. Some people asked me about the 8.4 volts it puts out since the canon battery says 7.2v. A fully charged Canon battery maintains a charge between 8.4v and 9v respectively. 7.2v is a low battery, so don’t worry about that. Down side is you will have to invest in some D tap cables if you want to run a monitor ext. however the best features of the PowerBase is the power remaining button and the fact that you can you it without the need of a v mount plate which is still an option if you need it. It mounts directly to a tripod. Worth the money! 5 |

I had no complaints with v.1 but I can notice a (very small) improvement in the finish of v.2. It’s now less rugged which makes the image a little less “blurry” 5 |
