Powerful toolWhy would you want to buy this product? 1.)Remote shutter release - that can be 30 feet away with the Canon extension cable. Photograph birds in the nest. Buy the extension cable yes it cost about $70 but, if you do this kind of photography you will need it.2.)Remote timer delay the shutter from 1 second to 99 hours. Photograph the moon's phases over time or anything with a cycle time. Combine this function with exposure count to have more capability.3.)Interval timer photograph a flower bloom opening Take a photo every X seconds for days, great for time laps photography. 1 second to 99 hours with or without limits on the number of exposures.4.)Long exposure take a 15 min exposure of a night scene, etc. - 1 second to 99 hours.5.)Set exposure count combine this function with other functions above to limit the number of exposures taken. A Zero value = no limits on the number of exposures taken.Some reviews have complained that this tool does not have an on /off switch. You do not need an on / off switch. The battery life with this device on 24 hours a day is over three years. Does your watch need a on / off switch?Others have stated that it is limited to 99 exposures, not true. ... set to 00 (blank setting) the number of time interval shooting will be unlimited. This product works great, gives you many options to photograph special subjects, is light weight, has a night light for the display and allows you to take a photo anytime by pressing the remote shutter release.
