A Flash Of Light In The Eye

I purchased this bracket to compliment the nicely designed JoBu Design (JoBu) gimbal head for my longer lens when photographing wildlife. I needed to get the flash off the camera to eliminate the white-eye effect (red-eye equivalent for humans) for wildlife when using my flash with the flash extender (Better Beamer); it gives nice fill light and opens up shadow areas. It has the quick release mechanism that works with the JoBu double dovetailed lens plate; twist the knob to slip it on or off...no tools needed.. The bracket also works with Wimberly, Kirk, RRS and Surefoot double dovetailed lens plates, but at a fraction of a cost. I love it I also use it for photographing people...handheld, which is attributed to it's light weight. So far so good.

Wonderful product. Detachable flash fixes red eye but it is often too strong and still too small of a light source. If you want better photos you need to soften the flash and increase it's size. This product does both. it's more than just a diffuser. It makes studio type of lighting portable and convenient. Something to own. I don't know why all professional photographers aren't using this.

I use this with my GoDox Flash, it works great for keeping the reflection of the flash from showing in the subjects eye ware. Folds up nice and tucks away in my bag without taking a lot of room.

I purchased the Eye hood because of Sunlight glare and other light distractions. I am and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to attach and I was able to immediately see the benefits. The eye piece closes around the eye and helps you to focus on your subject. I would recommend it Highly. As for Con's: I don't have any.

I have been mounting my flash on a monopod to eliminate red eye when shooting night field sports for years ... started with a simple hardware L-bracket and hose clamps ... very annoying and a danger to your physical well being and furniture, car upholstery ... started using a Super Clamp and they are just too large and heavy for the purpose ... the Nano clamp meets the need ... quickly attached and removed, extremely stable, leaves no trace on the monopod ... and has a myriad of other uses for attaching almost anywhere ... and of course, the great craftsmanship we expect from Manfrotto ... very pleased ....

Blocks unwanted light ans is very easy on the eye!!

Blocks light and rest on your eye nicely so you do not have to squint.
