A Red X Shows Up In File Explorer

I'm happy with it, but sometimes it makes it impossible to turn off view file extensions in windows explorer unless I reboot. 5 |

We use them for doing backups of our videos and shows. We backup video as an MOV and MP4 file type. We have large 30 minute shows and we can get 6 shows on one Dual Layer DVD. It saves time when you bont keep changing the DVDs. 5 |

I have the new WD Red 4TB drive installed in a Oyen Digital Novus USB Type-C enclosure, making for an terrific file backup unit. When I first switched it ON, I heard no sound. It runs silently, and it's the fastest drive that I'm using for file storage. 5 |

I'm using this on a Leica M10-Monochrom with Voigtlander 50mm f/1.2 lens. My initial tests are terrific, the foliage is dramatically lighter than with a red filter. Of course, the filter isn't blue like the stock image shows, it is an almost opaque filter, but the Leica sensor is able to display the image on the rear screen with no difficulty. Helpful for critical focusing. Since it's a rangefinder camera, I think I will be able to handhold the camera in bright sun, since normal focus is through the rangefinder. This could be my favorite filter for the camera so far. The test image attached is nothing special, except for the differing types of leaves, the cranes which had white and red paint on them (red disappears almost completely and shows as white, but you can just tell where it is on the lowest crane), plus the bright sun on the concrete wall vs the shadow side of the building. These are straight shots with only exposure adjusted. Digital has made infrared photography so much more accessible than back in film days... it's magic photographing in a light spectrum the human eye cannot see. 5 |

These work great but let me warn you. Make sure the spring loaded sliding mechanism shows no red. That means that the system is locked and will not slide. It's nice that it's red so you can clearly see if this is not fully closed. I dropped my shickmount this way. Luckily I did not have my u87 on the shockmount. I am very careful now. It's a great thing to have if you constantly switch between mics or stands 5 |
