Can’t beat the price thinking of buying more works well on my A10

Spent too much time trying to justify the price of the A10 vs the SB5000. Watched a few YouTube videos (watched the one by Moose Peterson) and went with Profoto. Also, the collaboration with Nikon confirms my choice. The A10 is so easy, on camera and off. Nikon has not done anything new with lighting products for years. Very happy with my decision.

I use Profoto strobes for my photography. When Profoto announced the Profoto Clic Octa, I thought the design was interesting. However, as with all Profoto modifiers, the price was ridiculously inflated. I began looking around and discovered that the Angler, like the Clic, was built in South Korea. In fact, looking around, I finally realized that the Clic was an SMDV-built rebrand, and apparently so was the Angler. The Angler was a winner for me because at a price point that was 50% of the Clic, I received the Fastbox, the adapter for the Profoto A10, and the grid. Profoto sells the Clic for US$299 and charge an additional US$129 for the grid. For the very same softbox, the Angler is clearly the better financial investment. As for the quality of light etc., it functions like any good 24 octabox. The magnet is strong, holding the A1/A1X/A10 in place. It should be noted that the original A1's magnet is not quite as strong as the one found in the A10. So it's possible it may not be quite as stable when the A1 is attached. But the A10 locks on well. If you're looking for a 24 softbox, this is a great option.

I've been waiting for 10Gb networks to come down in price so that I could use the extra speed for video editing. This combo card allows me to upgrade my Diskstation to 10Gb AND add M.2 storage for a speedy cache. Best of both worlds. I wish I didn't have to remove the drives to open up the case to install the card but it fit easily enough, the process was smooth and it freed up the other four (4) 1Gb ports on my DiskStation to be bonded into a 4Gb port utilizing my managed switch in Link Aggregation mode. Card is connected by Cat6A cable to a 10Gb switch connected to my video editing station.

I have a nine year old nephew, Joseph, that put this on his shopping list. So I know this has got to be the best available on the market for the price. Why? Because Joe is a meticulous product researcher and if this got on his wish list... well.... i don't need to know anything else... and neither do you.

It is not cheap, not only in price but construction. Has excellent software, at the touch of a button. This one the best assc. for The X-Pro 1. I have three Leica lens, all ASPH.. The 24mm 2.8, 35mm 1.4 ( the older 1) and APO 90mm 2.0. All work great. It comes with a gauge to tell you if any damage to lens or camera will happen. The sad thing is that, if you look at the list of lens give by Fuji, you will be mislead--maybe.. The list is poorly done. Per Fuji, only 24mm was to have worked, untrue even focus to Inf. with all. Good goods if you are into mounting M mount lens on the X-Pro-1.
