A5 Portable Photo Printer

I received this a few days ago, took a few minutes to set up but for a portable printer it does a good job. i printed a photo on plain paper and it looked nice, i haven't tried using glossy photo paper yet but I'm sure the quality would only be better. Great little printer for taking on the road. “This is a review for the Epson WorkForce WF-110 Wireless Inkjet Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking to get a portable pocket printer to print pictures from my smartphone to put them in my scrapbook. After doing some research, I have decided to try the Instax Square Link Smartphone Printer. What I like about this portable smartphone printer is that it takes less than a minute to print a photo and the battery life is great. The prints are like the size of a wallet photo, it’s like a Polaroid kind of style of photos.

I have used this combo with my PictureMate Charm personal photo lab for sometime. Never once, have I gotten a bad print. The ink, colors pop, the paper is simple the best matte paper on the market. I have used all of the available name brands paper and portable printers, and I have found there is none that comes close to the PictureMate charm and its ink/paper. The high gloss paper in the 200 series is great also, if you prefer a gloss finish. But for professional quality/luster, eye poping colors, semi sheen output, the Matte paper is simply the best. I am a avid user of epsons printers large and small. Their papers and inks are unrivaled. The Epson company just went away from the 200 series product portable lab  printers, for a new portable printer, that really isnt portable. Unlike the 200 series, which has a battery operation capability, the new printer does not.  I tried their new photo portable lab, and while it is good, it does not reach the level of the 200 series printers. Last month alone, I printed 3600 4X6 prints on my 225 charm, all without one failure or bad print. I never had a requirement to clean or adjust/align the printer heads either. Its so good, I havent used my large format printers for 4X6 in months.

The Panasonic Portable radio has much better audio than other portable radios. B&H Photo & Video’s price was a good bargain!

The A5+ are actually my 3rd purchase of Audioengine speakers. I previously owned 2 pairs of the A2's. The A5+ is the update to the A5. It features a few extras missing on the A5 including a remote control with an energy saving mode, and heat fins on the rear. I also added the S8 subwoofer for a 2.1 system connected to my TV. The cost was under $600 for the setup. Before commenting on the sound, I need to provide you with some background. I have been a high end audio junkie since the late 60's owning numerous speakers including Merlin, Magnepan, Apogee, Role Audio, Totem, Accoustat, TDL, etc... so you can say that I am not the typical consumer wowed by the name of Bose etc... Anyway, on to the sound. I first set up the speakers without the subwoofer hooking up the RCA leads to the A5+ main speaker and the mini plug to the Television output. The input for the television was a Fios cable box and Panasonic Blu Ray player both using HDMI. My first impression of the sound was extremely favorable. The bass from the speakers sounded as if I already had a sub attached and voices and instruments seemed to emanate from a very clean clear background. I then attached the S8 and after some careful adjustments I could barely notice the effects. That is until a sub 50Hz sound was produced by the source. Then it revealed itself with some nice tuneful polite bass. No boom at all. It just stepped to the plate whenever needed, never calling attention to itself unless absolutely necessary. In summary, for the price, these speakers are a steal. If I were a starving college student unable to afford the good stuff. Buy these speakers! Even if you have the money to buy something more expensive. Save your money and try these. They are that good.
