Aaa Lithium Battery Charger

The AAA lithium battery is often over looked ... I keep several spares due to it's 10 year shelf life for NOAA weather-all hazards radio and my kestrel hand-held weather station 5 |

I had origianlly been using 8 AAA bateries and they ran down quickly. This Lithium battery is definitely a upgrade to a handful of AAA batteries. 5 |

Battery charger for up to 8 AA or AAA NiMH NiCd batteries. It also will tell you if a battery is no good. You can also completely drain a battery on it before a recharge, which extends the life and strength of the battery. The only setback is that this is not a fast charger, so extra batteries are needed if one is doing a lot of flash work with remotes. 5 |

What else could you want in a AA/AAA NiMH/NiCd battery charger? It has eight LCDs showing the charging status for each battery, a discharge function to refresh the batteries, reverse polarity protection if the batteries are installed backwards, and a separate automatic shutoff for each battery when it is fully charged. And it can charge any combination of one or more AA, AAA NiMh and/or NiCd batteries. Its rated charging time is 3.6-4.6 hr for AA batteries and 1.6-2.0 hr for AAA's. 5 |

If you use rechargeable AA's or AAA's, you should have a decent charger. Most chargers charge in banks of 2 or 4. That means that the battery will be treated the same as its neighbor. Better chargers charge each battery independently of the others. This way, the batteries get what they need. The best chargers give you metering on each battery. I've always had good luck with Watson products. This charger keeps the streak going. 5 |

This is more than just a charger for your AA/AAA NiMH batteries. The condition feature lets you monitor the health of each battery while keeping them in tip top shape. That way you can revive some batteries that are no longer behaving they way they did when they were new, and remove from service batteries that are no longer holding a full charge. The only downside I've found is that it may not work with some non-Powerex batteries, -you may get a battery fault indication when you put them in the charger even though those batteries will work just fine in a conventional charger. This may be caused by batteries that have an internal impedance/resistance that's different from that of Powerex batteries. 5 |
