Abbey Road Studio Monitor Speakers

Amazing quality interface by the legends over at SSL! I feel like John Lennon back at Abbey Road studios when I record with this piece! But seriously it’s that classic SSL look, feel and most importantly sound that makes this really the best interface in it even near and above this price point! Thanks so much to the kind folks @ B&H for taking care of me and shipping my SSL2 so fast!!!

I recently purchased the Kali Lone Pine Studio Monitor V2 speakers and I am blown away by their performance. The sound quality is crystal clear and the bass response is impressive. This is my second one - I keep one at studio and another for the road. Easy to use and gives you flexibility to move around quickly.

I use them while on the road as an extra back-up on shoots and every few days FedEx them back to the studio.

This is a handy adapter to have in your kit. It is built well and can come in handy in your studio or on the road..

I needed a monitor controller for my studio for two pairs of speakers and a couple of inputs. As much as some of the functionality of active monitor controllers appeals to me, the sound quality is first and foremost. And we all know that unless you spend $3k - $10k most active systems severely color your sound - a little more than my current budget. I wasn't sure what to expect with this affordable passive controller however, after spending a few weeks with it I can say without a doubt that it is a great addition to my studio. I hear no coloration or change to the stereo sound field. The Mute, Dim, and Mono sum functions are really handy. And the build quality feels good under your hand. My only complaint is that it would be nice if the knob travel was detented for repeatable levels. Two Big Thumbs Up!

These monitor speakers, although pricy, are very well suited to mixing and editing in protools for a studio either at home or in a formal studio setting. They are transparent with a very flat sound that does not emphasize any particular aspect of the frequency spectrum. Flat sound as used here is a good thing. The bass is surprisingly strong in my editing room which only about 8' x 10'. I did add a subwoofer for frequencies below 50Hz. The highs are exceptionally clear and the midrange very smooth. These speakers are very easy on the ears even after several hours editing. I highly recommend them. I use them mainly to edit recording of live theatrical musical performances.

Simple and rock solid studio monitor knob! If you own multiple studio speakers. This is a must! Mackie does its job as always!
