Used regularly for 2 years now. Pros: Very compact; Super-light, super compact. Great image and video quality. Much better than any phone or PnS. Surprisingly good audio Tons of functions for versatility Good and well placed physical controls Software interface is very well thought out and very easy to access. Great focal length range Excellent macro capability Good image stabilization Customer service EXCELLENT! I torqued the lens as it was closing and stripped it. Texas repair center replaced the lens at no charge. I've read complaints of poor communication. I did the follow-up calls at reasonable intervals and found the communication to be just fine. Sounded more like a busy repair shop than a customer service outfit. AOK with me. Be proactive. Cons: Needs light at the tele end so pics in dim light are noisy. Aperature range limited Autofocus has some trouble with low contrast subjects. 5 |

If you are looking for your first hard case look no further. This was my first hard case purchase and I love it. Used it to travel from Sarasota Fl to N.Y. Held both bodies with battery grips my 70-200, 17-24, 85, and 50, plus my 2x extender 2 pouches w/nd filters and remotes. Plus my tripod bungled to the side. No problem carrying it on the plane or with security. Heavy? Yea a bit but protecting over 4 grand of gear worth every penny! Ps the wheels were fine, I know some reviews said they were not adequate I had no problem and was out every day shooting. And B&H is the place to shop hands down. 5 |

PROS: -excellent value -excellent color quality -minimal loss of output at 5600k compared to the single-color version -fast setup: no ballasts or head feeder cables to wrangle -fewer points of failure, since there are no head feeders -you're not paying for a case, which is great if you already have cases -brand name that my clients are starting to know and trust -US-based repair service is available CONS: -fan is a bit loud -I wish the yoke was tilted forward so light could tilt down more -menus are a bit fiddly & unintuitive -Bowens mount release button feels cheap CONCLUSION: Highly recommended. For the price, the cons are minor. Of the brands that offer U.S.-based factory repair service, the Nanlite FS series offers the most output per dollar. I've been lighting for 25 years, and I've seen a lot of lights need repair. There might be cheaper brands, but their value disappears when one needs service and you're faced with the choice of expensive shipping to China or throwing away the light. 5 |
