I use this hard drive in an external Thermaltake USB3 dock for creating my offsite backups. The 4TB is perfect for my system configuration and the drive is fast and quiet. 5 |

I have few external 2.5 hard drives, but this one is the best. It's look and design is superb and the price is fair. It is not USB3 but it doesn't matter since my MacBook Pro is not USB3 compatible (so are other Macs), so why pay the extra money for something I do not need. Also I bought this hard drive to my Time Machine backups, so I don't need the fire-wire (extra money) hard drive. 5 |

I installed the Samsung 250GB Solid State Drive in my Lenovo desk-top computer. I moved Windows and all my application software to the solid state drive and all of my personal files to the internal disc drive. The disc drive is backed by an external disc drive. The resulting system is much faster. The installation went very smooth, although I had the entire system backed up on an external disk drive incase anything went wrong. 5 |

Bought this as an upgrade to another portable hard drive I have for when I'm shooting on the road. It's super fast and I don't have to worry about a spinning disk since it's solid state. Also, being solid state it seems to draw less power from my laptop. The biggest plus is the extra speed though. Great little hard drive 5 |

The solid state hard drive fit in it perfect. I did have to alter the mounting pin areas in the sides though, so the unit would fit in the case. I used a Dremel tool to grind out the four areas, where the pins engage, so the whole unit could slide into the case. 5 |
