Ac750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router Firmware Update

I am very impressed with the RT2600AC Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router. It was very easy to setup and update the firmware. It was so much easier than the troublesome TP-Link Archer AC1900 that I replaced. The Synology Router firmware does not require compression software. You just click find update and load it with the control software that is included. The dual bands are more than capable of handling many devices with ease. I have the Blast 150 Mbps package and my Xfinity speeds are now 230-240 Mbps. I am extremely pleased and highly recommend this router. I will buy Synology again. B&H is also fantastic.

The pandemic has forced everyone here to work from home. There are three floors in this condo with people now working on all three. It took a little finagling to position the primary Synology router [RT2600AC AC-2600 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router] and its antennas to talk to two of these units. Once the optimal locations were established, setting up and connecting everything else was a piece of cake. There are plenty of other tools under the hood as with most Synology equipment. More sophisticated users can install myriad of software options and system settings. Communication between all Synology devices is seamless. No WiFi dead spots over three floors and 2000 sq. feet. So far we are happy. The worst problem is communication and performance of the Comcast modem. [Our Synology/network ecosystem consists of 1) RT2600AC AC-2600 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router-connected to a Comcast modem, 2) Synology MR2200AC Wireless Tri-Band Mesh Routers, and 1) Synology DS920+ 4 Bay NAS with 4 Seagate 4TB NAS Drives.]

These wireless dual band gigabit mesh access points work great. Roaming the house I never lose signal. Just purchased the third to better cover the wireless flood light cameras outside on the front of our house.

I recently bought a dual band router from B&H but wasn't getting the internet speeds I had expected. I checked the built in wireless card on my laptop and discovered that is was a single band card. I found this dual band adapter at B&H and decided to order one. I ordered it Tuesday and it arrived today. With WIN 10 and using a USB 3.0 port, it was as simple as plug and play. I am now getting 3 times faster internet speeds and am very pleased with this device. The price is great as was the free shipping. I would definitely recommend this device for a home wireless network.

When I first set this up I was getting speeds around 500 mbps on my gigabit connection. With a recent firmware update you can enable hardware offloading and with it I am getting speeds in the 900's. Just be aware this does not have hardware switching so if you do not have a separate switch you will loose some performance by bridging ports 1-4.

Has 90+% of the functionality of a firmware updated router but with the addition of a modern interface.  Very easy to setup and configure.  Updates come monthly like clockwork. This router was fast enough to support two active VOIP lines, and over 20 concurrent devices, and has a boatload of features and available applications.  I didnt even need to set QOS for the VOIP or streaming boxes / apps.  Not even a hiccup.  Throughput is more then enough for SOHO use.  I have several PCs isolated from the LAN running VPNs to corporate offices.  Speed is faster then the previous Netgear product.  Ill be using this router for years to come. With a recent  firmware update, the Synology RT2600AC now supports the latest Wifi encryption WPA3 and a wider 5GHz Channel width of 160Mhz. AMPDU, extended NSS and 802.11r has been added at no additional cost. This router gets better with each update. The Intrusion Detection is now out of Beta and supports many new advanced features with intrusion definitions downloaded weekly via updates just like an Antivirus. Synology makes great products and this one is a KEEPER

I have the 2000 Delta Max setup as UPS. When I do a firmware update, the unit shuts down and router shuts down. The firmware update stops. Disconnect router from Delta Max before preforming firmware update.

Purhased this one because my old modem/router was on its last legs and my ISP was not updating the firmware on it like they should have been. This one has not had any of the disconnect that my old one was, I can update the firmware when I need to and it is easy to manage either from the app, or a hardline into it from my desktop. Again I say, SO FAR I LOVE THIS THING!

Just remember to update the firmware.
