Accidentally Put Mouth To Microphone At Karaoke Bar
Tell Tale Video Productions | 2024-06-13 07:32:26 |
I have put my money where my mouth is, and just purchased a second AT875 for my other DVX100B. I expect this microphone will be passed on to the next camera, as they are well built, look and sound great, and are a nice small 7 size. These mics are perfect for mounting on the cam,but can be used at a podium with excellent results. The best bang for the buck. I cannot imagine why budget filmmakers would look anywhere else. 5 |

I have been using this microphone for the past two and a half months, recording indoor interviews. I record into a Tascam DR-100, which provides the phantom power (and other features) not available on my Canon 60D. This microphone's frequency response is fabulous, capturing the full vocal range. As a hypercardioid, the AT4053b is a significant improvement on the on the Sennheiser ME66, the microphone I was using for interviews before, which yields a very thin sound when used indoors. I boom the microphone, getting it as close as possible to the subject's mouth. As a result , the AT4053b's flat frequency response, you need to use an EQ, attenuating a few decibels between 100 to 200 dB. I wouldn't consider the flat frequency a drawback, as it is very useful in certain contexts (e.g., capturing someone with a deep voice). But it something you need to be aware of, especially when recording a few inches from a person's mouth. 5 |

I bought this so I could have a low profile microphone close to my subjects mouth. We have 4 of these in our video program, and they still work after 10 years of abuse from our students. I plan to use it for recording 2 camera interviews with double system sound. The sound quality is very close to what either the Zoom H4n or my Tascam DR-40 can record with their onboard microphones. My friend has 2 of these for his video business, he says they last ten years with proper care. It is obviously not a super high end microphone, but it's not junk either, I think it will be just right. 5 |

I bought my wife a Karaoke machine for Christmas which was two 1/4 microphone inputs on it. I was thinking how cool it would be to have wireless mics so people could hand them off as songs changed, instead of being limited by a cord, and having to swap seats. The WMS40 fit the bill PERFECTLY. I was a little concerned, with the low price, that the quality wouldn't be there, but the system is static free and sounds GREAT! I used balanced 1/4 cables (pulled from patchbay) to connect the microphone base unit to the Karaoke machine. The distance from the singers to the base unit is under 30 feet so I can't speak for the range of the unit. 5 |

I purchased this microphone a month ago for my home Karaoke setup. I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality and sound of the mic. It has great wireless range and is easy to use. I also like the fact that is has balanced XRL outputs. Highly recommend. 5 |
