Accidentally Put Switch Controller On Backwards

The switch was quickly adopted by the controller and was up and running in a few minutes.

I like the switcher, which is on the side, so when Surge Protector is under the table you cannot accidentally switch the power off with you feet. Great design!

A must-have for long exposure photography (i.e. star photography). The switch is a little too easy to accidentally slide into the lock position, but this isn't much of a problem. Certainly not as advanced as an intervalometer, but is much cheaper.

I was wanting wired remote switch for my Canon T3i and thought the price for the genuine Canon switch was ridiculous considering I will only be using it occasionally.  The Vello RS-C1II seemed to have good reviews and thought, for the price, I might as well give it a try.  I havent had a chance to use it in the field but I did some quick tests and I am very impressed. First of all, the switch has a nice, long travel, so that you wont accidentally take a picture when engaging the auto focus.  Even more impressive is the spring tension increases after the auto focus position, giving you a nice, tactile feel for the transition. The bulb lock switch is a nice feature.  I havent put the switch through its paces, but I cant imagine it getting activated accidentally (as one reviewer had claimed) unless you have really shaky hands (it requires a very deliberate forward sliding motion). I cant comment on the long term reliability, but my initial impression is that it is made to a high quality.  Only time will tell for sure though.

Convenient flashlight to put on a keyring. Has a locking system to prevent accidentally turning on.

I bought my first one about five years ago and had it until I just replaced it. Accidentally put it through the wash a few to many times and the elasticity started to give but that's my fault. Anyway, I loved it so much I bought another to replace it.
