Acer A500 Docking Station Connector Type

I was using a different brand docking station with my laptop for work and it took several minutes of plugging and unplugging the connector. Once I used the Lenovo docking station, I stopped having this issue and can connect immediately with my external monitors.

This equipment works fine. This is my second Docking Station - a replacement for the first one, which lasted only a few weeks. The usb connector needs to be handled with a bit of care. I learned that the hard way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This docking station is small in size and yet powerful. It comes with a 300W supply so it can power the laptop and provide USB power as well. It has 3 USB 3.0 ports and 1 lightening (USB C) port on the back and 1 usb port and 1 lightening port on the front. It also has 2 Display Port, 1 HDMI Port connectors and an RJ-45 connector on the back. The lightening connector on the back can also be used for a USB C monitor. There are not enough usb 3.0 ports on the back. I'm used to docking stations that connect to the laptop via a connector on the bottom of the laptop. These have more USB ports than this docking station. The double connector used to connect this to my laptop is a little clumsy but the docking station serves it's purpose.

This docking station was easy to set up. The quality of it seems to be nice and the docking station looks premium. It seems to be working flawlessly for what I need. I really like that it is light and works nicely with my Chromebook and 2 monitors. The packaging comes with UD-MSTHDC Docking Station, power adapter, USB-C and USB-C cable.

I needed a type-c connector and used the Belkin Thunderbolt cable to connect my docking station to my laptop. The process to connect the cable was very simple and the performance of my laptop, monitor, and peripherals was outstanding. The cable delivered maximum speeds reliably and also supported my external drives and charging devices. The cable is built very well with very sturdy covers at the ends of the cable to prevent cracking and peeling or cuts when bending it often. It’s a very simple cable that is very flexible yet it won’t get tangled up when moving it around your devices. I didn’t find any of my equipped type-c devices encountering any issues with the cable. This is an outstanding cable that is built extremely well and will deliver data speeds as needed and I give the Belkin Thunderbolt Cable a 5-STAR Rating.

Bought this in combination with a Kanex iAdapt 6-in-1 Multiport USB Type-C Docking Station for 11 & 12.9 iPad Pro to secure files while I travel Works well. Two things to avoid disconnects onthe iPad: (1) Disable the Unattended auto-lock feature. (2) Activate Lock-override mode.

This is the 120W smaller cousin to the 280W docking station. Despite the lower power output, it can handle all the basic needs of a small business work station setup. Excluding the type-C cable connection from the docking station to the PC, it has 11 various ports: 4-USB type-A super speed (2 with charging), 3-USB 3.0 type-C (1-standard type-C, 1-type-C Thunderbolt 4, 1-type-C+DisplayPort), 2-DisplayPort, 1-HDMI , 1 ethernet. This allows you to hook up at least 2 monitors [max up to 4 depending on the PC]. This cube-like docking station has a small footprint and can handle most of your basic connection needs.,
