Acoustic Reference Studio Monitor Speakers Series 1201

I have this center channel with Reference series bookshelf speakers and subwoofer. Crystal clear sound especially the high notes. Love them

For a little background, I have owned a K10, a KW122, and a KSub. Our GB band owns many QSC speakers, as well, including the K8, K10, K12, KW152, and KW181. I am a guitarist and bassist and sometimes run a pre-amp into the K-series speakers directly for lower volume situations. The original K8 has always been my favorite for acoustic guitar and I have used one many times to perform outdoor wedding ceremonies. The wide dispersion pattern and detailed midrange sits nicely with acoustic instruments. The K8.2, to me, almost sounds like the original K10 in regards to depth of sound while retaining the wider dispersion of the 8" driver. It puts out a lot of quality sound in a small form factor. I'm sure many of us are happy that the K8.2 also has the ability to be used as a floor monitor, too, which is another application I will be using mine for. The new onboard DSP, while not as quick to navigate as the analog dip switches of the original K-series, adds lots of functionality. Most notable for instrumentalists is the addition of the high impedance input setting on channel B. Combined with the onboard EQ and three different high pass filter settings, you can skip using a pre-amp and plug straight in, if a simplified setup is needed. I plan on using it this way for playing lower volume cocktail hour duo scenarios. Also, thank you B&H for offering this speaker with the carrying bag included. It made it easy to decide where to purchase it!

This was the recommended stand for use with the Cambo RD-1201 boom and I could not be happier with this combination. I KNOW when I put a light and a large modifier on this set-up that it is solid as a rock and not going anywhere. I can also adjust the whole set-up from 1 off the ground to the top of my studio with 1 finger - love it! I've had it for a few years now and both are just as solid as they were the day I got them. A few of my friends who have been to my studio have ordered the same set-up and a few more are saving for it. It's a great stand (and a great set-up when paired with the Cambo)!

I use this monitor to reference live feed from the video switcher in my school news studio.  The monitor is bright, crisp, and has onboard tools that are very helpful.  The histogram allows me to dial in iris settings for each camera on the fly.  The metal exterior is pretty darn nice for a sub $500 monitor.  Lilliput provides nice added goodies such as a camera adapter, and sunshade.  The monitor is boxed very nicely.... reminiscent of unboxing an Apple product.  While some may complain that it is only 500 brightness, this is more that sufficient for studio use.  I am buying more shortly to provide studio staff additional live views.

I was looking for a compact stereo speaker/subwoofer combination as a reference/mixdown monitor for my project studio. The Cyber Acoustics CA-3908 perfectly fills the bill! Easy setup with a unique control pod that takes little space - headphone and aux jacks on the pod are a nice touch. The sound is AMAZING - brilliant highs, balanced mid-frequencies, and a VERY responsive sub-woofer make for an outstanding listening experience! For desktop and laptop computers, this is a no-brainer; in fact, if you watch movies on your computer, this system will make soundtracks REALLY come to life! I recently purchased the Kali Lone Pine Studio Monitor V2 speakers and I am blown away by their performance. The sound quality is crystal clear and the bass response is impressive. The compact size makes them perfect for my home studio, but they pack a punch that can easily fill a larger room. The build quality is top-notch and they look great on my desk. I use this monitor for work and gaming on my Xbox Series S/Nintendo Switch. Easy to setup, looks stunning, the controls on the back are easy to use, turn on, switches inputs quickly and easily. The speakers are surprisingly good if you're someone who isn't too concerned about audio, I use a headset most of the time but on the off times I use the built in speakers they sound good. The settings navigation UI isn't great but not something I would worry about to impact the quality of the monitor. Definitely recommend this monitor.

I needed a monitor controller for my studio for two pairs of speakers and a couple of inputs. As much as some of the functionality of active monitor controllers appeals to me, the sound quality is first and foremost. And we all know that unless you spend $3k - $10k most active systems severely color your sound - a little more than my current budget. I wasn't sure what to expect with this affordable passive controller however, after spending a few weeks with it I can say without a doubt that it is a great addition to my studio. I hear no coloration or change to the stereo sound field. The Mute, Dim, and Mono sum functions are really handy. And the build quality feels good under your hand. My only complaint is that it would be nice if the knob travel was detented for repeatable levels. Two Big Thumbs Up!

These monitor speakers, although pricy, are very well suited to mixing and editing in protools for a studio either at home or in a formal studio setting. They are transparent with a very flat sound that does not emphasize any particular aspect of the frequency spectrum. Flat sound as used here is a good thing. The bass is surprisingly strong in my editing room which only about 8' x 10'. I did add a subwoofer for frequencies below 50Hz. The highs are exceptionally clear and the midrange very smooth. These speakers are very easy on the ears even after several hours editing. I highly recommend them. I use them mainly to edit recording of live theatrical musical performances.

Simple and rock solid studio monitor knob! If you own multiple studio speakers. This is a must! Mackie does its job as always!
