Acoustic Response Studio Monitor Series 707 Speakers

For a little background, I have owned a K10, a KW122, and a KSub. Our GB band owns many QSC speakers, as well, including the K8, K10, K12, KW152, and KW181. I am a guitarist and bassist and sometimes run a pre-amp into the K-series speakers directly for lower volume situations. The original K8 has always been my favorite for acoustic guitar and I have used one many times to perform outdoor wedding ceremonies. The wide dispersion pattern and detailed midrange sits nicely with acoustic instruments. The K8.2, to me, almost sounds like the original K10 in regards to depth of sound while retaining the wider dispersion of the 8" driver. It puts out a lot of quality sound in a small form factor. I'm sure many of us are happy that the K8.2 also has the ability to be used as a floor monitor, too, which is another application I will be using mine for. The new onboard DSP, while not as quick to navigate as the analog dip switches of the original K-series, adds lots of functionality. Most notable for instrumentalists is the addition of the high impedance input setting on channel B. Combined with the onboard EQ and three different high pass filter settings, you can skip using a pre-amp and plug straight in, if a simplified setup is needed. I plan on using it this way for playing lower volume cocktail hour duo scenarios. Also, thank you B&H for offering this speaker with the carrying bag included. It made it easy to decide where to purchase it! 5 |

These speakers are amazing for the price value. These are all you will need in a home studio. Gives best flat response. But if you are looking for a more bass/ low end might as well go for the 6. 5 |

The best studio monitors at this price level, PERIOD. They produce sound accurately and clearly for film and music production. The response is flat enough where it counts and they combo as great speakers for enjoying any kind of entertainment partnered with a sub. I use them every day, and I couldnt be happier. Ive used plenty of monitors, and these are my go tos at my home studio and at the office. HOW THEY COMPARE They arent as clear and flat as the Yamaha HS5s but they have much clearer lows and mids, lacking that tinny quality and sound more accurate to how people enjoy entertainment without sacrificing clarity. They arent as bass heavy KRK Rokit 5G3s, but they also arent as muddy as the KRK Rokit 5G3s and have a much clearer treble response. They kill the M-Audio BX8s in every single way—the BX8s are muddy, dull, and hard to listen through. Terrible, really, do not buy M-Audio for accurate audio, and Id say the same thing for the Mackie CR4s. The Presonus Eris E8s just arent it either. The only opponent Id say these have are the Adam Audio A7Xs, which have a much lower bass frequency response and a much more accurate high response, and are just the best monitors Ive ever used all around. The thing is, the Adam Audio A7Xs are $750 EACH. You can often pick these up for less than $250 a pair. So just do it. Buy the LSR305Ps now. Save up. These are the speakers youve always wanted and youve never heard anything like them. What are you even waiting for? 5 |

I recently purchased the Kali Lone Pine Studio Monitor V2 speakers and I am blown away by their performance. The sound quality is crystal clear and the bass response is impressive. The compact size makes them perfect for my home studio, but they pack a punch that can easily fill a larger room. The build quality is top-notch and they look great on my desk. I highly recommend the Kali Lone Pine Studio Monitor V2 speakers to anyone in need of an upgrade to their studio setup. 5 |

I use this monitor for work and gaming on my Xbox Series S/Nintendo Switch. Easy to setup, looks stunning, the controls on the back are easy to use, turn on, switches inputs quickly and easily. The speakers are surprisingly good if you're someone who isn't too concerned about audio, I use a headset most of the time but on the off times I use the built in speakers they sound good. The settings navigation UI isn't great but not something I would worry about to impact the quality of the monitor. Definitely recommend this monitor. 5 |

I'm a musician and home recording my own stuff. I used these mics both for close miking acoustic instruments and overall ambiance miking, and they gave very good performance in both. I'm not so much obsessive about flat frequency response, and I'm not running a full equipped studio; so these are more than enough for me. Unbelievably great performance for the price, especially on acoustic instruments, low weight, works directly with the 48V phantom power of my firewire sound interface, also suitable for stereo ambiance miking as a pair when needed, with a really slight difference in frequency response. Worst thing about them is, although it's said that they are cardioid, they are in fact somewhere between cardioid and omni. 5 |

We needed a controller for a classical pianist who switches between an acoustic piano and controller for sessions. The response and feel of the action are well worth the money. The interface is easy to navigate and is generally plug and play with any DAW. Highly recommended. 5 |

Great headset; the direction response capsule made a huge difference for us in our acoustic environment. Much greater clarity, and great feedback resistance. Had been using a dpa d:fine headset that was great, but was very prone to feedback; the H6 eliminated those problems. 5 |

I needed a monitor controller for my studio for two pairs of speakers and a couple of inputs. As much as some of the functionality of active monitor controllers appeals to me, the sound quality is first and foremost. And we all know that unless you spend $3k - $10k most active systems severely color your sound - a little more than my current budget. I wasn't sure what to expect with this affordable passive controller however, after spending a few weeks with it I can say without a doubt that it is a great addition to my studio. I hear no coloration or change to the stereo sound field. The Mute, Dim, and Mono sum functions are really handy. And the build quality feels good under your hand. My only complaint is that it would be nice if the knob travel was detented for repeatable levels. Two Big Thumbs Up! 5 |

These monitor speakers, although pricy, are very well suited to mixing and editing in protools for a studio either at home or in a formal studio setting. They are transparent with a very flat sound that does not emphasize any particular aspect of the frequency spectrum. Flat sound as used here is a good thing. The bass is surprisingly strong in my editing room which only about 8' x 10'. I did add a subwoofer for frequencies below 50Hz. The highs are exceptionally clear and the midrange very smooth. These speakers are very easy on the ears even after several hours editing. I highly recommend them. I use them mainly to edit recording of live theatrical musical performances. 5 |
