I'm running a Beam with two Sonos one and just added the sub mini. Even in a large open floor plan living room it really adds a good amount off base. Finishes of the set well

Beautiful fit and finish as all Triad-Orbit products. Works alone as low stand for camera/light/mic. Mounts from above or below via attachment holes. Bottom includes thin rubber layer to provide isolation from desk, table, floor, wall, ceiling or whatever it is attached. I plan to buy more. Very adaptable attachment. I have a beautiful piece of tropical hardwood that I plan to attach to the bottom to provide more stability for my desk mic stand, and attached a Triad-Orbit IO-A1 Extendable Boom Arm, it fits perfectly on my desk. It looks great! I record Kirtan music where the musicians sit on the floor and it has proven very useful in this application. I have used it with a Wildtronics Pro Mini Parabolic Mic to make bird and ambiance field recordings in Costa Rica. It travels well.

This sub was a great addition to my Arc soundbar. We have a large open floor plan with our kitchen, living room and dining area being a large open space. The Arc fills the room with sound but lacked the base for such a large space. ( I am sure it would be fine in a smaller more conventional room). The sub was easy to connect and set up and makes a great addition, especially when watching action movies or streaming music.

A new house with an open floor plan meant my 5.1 sound system had nowhere to place rear speakers. The answer was a JBL Soundbar that simulates the soundfield of having rear speakers. So far I am loving it!

I use the sound bar plus the play 5 for an open floor plan home. Sound quality and adjustments of these products are awesome. Replaces a definitive technology sound bar with the wireless sub. SONOS has far better sound quality and ability to change sound balances and the speech enhancement options make a far better sound system.

This is my second Manfrotto boom mount, and I absolutely love it. I love that I can free up my floor space. I plan on using it for my hair light and for my beauty dish. Well worth the money. One thing to note..it does take some getting use to maneuvering it around when you have it fully extended or nearly extended, but that is to be expected when you have that extra weight at the end, so I am not deducting any starts for it. My studio room is 12 ft wide and works perfectly for me.

I had been using a DR-40 with a Rode NTG-2, but the noise floor was always too high. Switched to this recorder for the higher quality preamps and adjustable gain, and now my audio sounds great. As others have said, there are small caveats - the battery door is ridiculous, and the form factor isn't really convenient for mounting under a DSLR if you plan on carrying it - but at this price point, there's really no competition. Bottom line, if you plan on doing most of your recording from external mics, get this over a DR40 or Zoom H4N.

The fact that the two transmitters can act as stand alone recorders without the receiver is valuable enough. 7 hours of record time in 24bit WAV. Then factor in that the little built in microphones are actually very clean, very low noise floor. I was originally concerned that the transmitters only had two gain level options but after extensive testing going from a whisper to a shout these things do not clip. I'm not sure if they have some kind of very intelligent auto gain going on or secretly have 32 bit float that has not been unlocked yet but it just keeps a good level without being too hot. Now of course you can adjust the gain output of the receiver going to the camera much more finitely. I would not recommend the Paulson microphones however, they unfortunately both had a very substantial noise floor. The regular RODE lav, in contrast has a nice level, good balanced tone and very acceptable lower noise floor. With these things being on the market I cannot imagine why anyone would buy anything else. It's all the benefit of wireless audio without the downfalls.

Just tested the Mars 400 system and contrary to the official specs, it transmits video clearly even if the transmitter and receiver are not in line of sight of each other. In fact, I had the receiver in my office on the second floor of my home and took the cam+transmitter out into my yard - more than 75 feet away and it worked fine - and that was even though there were 3 walls and 1 floor between them! I am extremely happy with this unit and look forward to using it for events - where there will be NO walls or other obstructions between the 2 units.

Great for hooking up bi-wire floor speakers for the best high fidelity sound available from your receiver.
