[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got the new Samsung T9 Portable 1TB SSD drive. The drive is unexpectedly small and quite attractive with a rubber-like covering. I’m very pleased that the drive comes with both USB-A and USB-C cords for attaching to most any type of device. The drive is connected via USB-C to my Mac Studio computer. The Mac OS instantly recognized the drive and allowed me to format it for my Mac (Mac OS Extended Journaled). I tested the speed with a disk speed test utility, which reported 829.8 MB/s (write) and 890.8 MB/s (read). The speed is approximately 11X faster than my other USB external drives. I am struggling with the included Samsung PSSD utility. The app always tells me that the drive is not connected although my Mac sees it and allows me to use it. I’ve tried all of the Samsung troubleshooting suggestions for Mac OS, but it still remains unusable. That really makes no difference for me to use it. Nevertheless, I like everything about the Samsung T9 Portable 1TB SSD drive. It’s a great addition to my system.

Good to have these around. Needed this for some of my old hardware that still used USB-A. Worker for both operating OS(Windows/Mac)

I'm new towards using a Wacom Pen Display, it’s a great tablet relating to how well it is made, the resolution of the screen and how well it behaves when using it to create 3D models and sketches in Autodesk Fusion and in Shapr3D in this short time of use, it really is a game changer that does complement its use in these software’s.  Also, since I like to draw a lot, I am starting to get acquainted with this device and still have a long road ahead to get the best use and advantage in creating my drawings thru this pen display.  The only problem I suffered was at the beginning trying to get it setup initially with my Apple Mac Studio M1 thru the USB-C cable connection; it is recognized in Mac OS Ventura with the Wacom Center app when installed but for some reason nothing can’t be displayed or mirrored to the device. I tried every possible troubleshooting solution, but nothing seems to work which is frustrating and the only way I was able to get it to work correctly as intended was thru the HDMI & USB-A connection setup.  I called Wacom support explaining about the issue and after going over their troubleshooting process with me their best recommendation was in doing the upgrade to the Mac OS Sonoma version which should hopefully correct the issue; that upgrade should occur during the weekend when time is feasible after securing all important information and projects in progress.  However, I’ll still will give it a 5-star since I’m satisfied with the way it is working thru the HDMI & USB-A connection, it really is helping me in my 3D creations in these initial five days of use in which I’m totally astonish as a beginner in using this device.

A great little hard drive. It comes with two cables for the different USB ports, which is a plus. It comes formatted in Mac OS Extended, which, while making it Mac specific, makes it easy to partition. I partitioned mine to use 1/4 of the space as a Time Machine, with the rest for file storage.

Easily reformatted for use with Mac OS X. Compact size and one USB cable for power and data makes it easily portable. Good capacity for price (as of this writing); but not designed to be a speed demon. Runs quiet and cool.

Has everything you need in a Mac. So much to explore and the new OS is great! Loving the Apple experience. Add a monitor and you are set!

The AI-1 integrated with my Mac set up seamlessly. Unlike some older devices (such as the FastTrack Pro I upgraded from), the AI-1 can be control with the Mac OS X audio controls on your keyboard. The headphone amplifier works really well and the mic/quarter inch input delivers really high quality sound for home music recordings (using Logic Pro), podcast recordings and more recently Zoom calls. I don't like desk clutter and this device is about the size of an Apple TV and connects through one cable which I run through my external monitor. One issue that the upgrade to Mac OS X Catalina fixed was that I would have to unplug and plug back in the audio interface, so my computer didn't automatically use my external monitor's audio. However, that is no longer an issue. Another small issue, that seemed to be fixed with the upgrade to Catalina, was that I would hear a very faint radio signal in my headphones, but it didn't impact my recordings at all. Finally, I have this AI-1 connected to a pair of JBL monitor speakers through the balanced line outs on the back of the unit. The audio output is incredible. If you're looking for a minimalist, high-quality USB audio interface, the AI-1 is an excellent choice.

Bought this to replace a previous version @ 2006 mac mini for a ninety + year old operator. Yes 90+ yr. old. The mac OS (operating system)has been a big part in why she learned and has continued to use the computer will few problems. Install TeamViewer (free) and you can remotely access it to help with any problems they may have. Even the newest OS (Yosemite) that came on the machine was not much different (a good thing)than her old OS (10.6). I guess the RAM chips are soldered down and you cannot replace them for a performance bump but it is not needed. Nice and quiet, it just works, out of the box.Don't forget this has an HDMI out for video so if you have a monitor that has DVI or non HDMI input make sure you order a cable to go from the mac mini (HDMI to what your monitor has for input)
