Adata Ssd External Hard Drive

I'm using this as a secondary drive with a primary Adata SX900 64GB SSD + Avant 32GB SSD Windows slave/Pagefile drive. If you're not forking the dough out for a hybrid SSD drive, these 64MB Barracudas are the drives to grab for backup/storage/large programs/media. This drive sustains 160MB/s transfer from my SSD's and I can backup my entire SSD drive in just a few minutes. I may add another for RAID 0 in the future to see if I can approach my SSD's 400+MB/s read speeds. Latency isn't anything special though, so this drive is better used as an SSD companion versus an OS drive.

I've been backing up my mechanical hard drive to an external one for years, so the docking station and cloning software was already in place. I decided to try an SSD and the swap couldn't have been easier. A few minutes to clone to it, then a few minutes to swap it with the old drive in the computer and I'm right back online. The speed increase was remarkable... many times faster for file and program loads, and noticeably faster even for internet activities. If you still have a mechanical hard drive, switching to an SSD is highly recommended, and Micron SSD's are definitely the best brand in my humble opinion (I'm a retired electronic engineer).

The LaCie 8TB d2 external hard drive is well-built and reliable. This is my 8th LaCie external hard drive and I've never had one fail. I feel confident backing up data on these hard drives. While these are not as fast as SSD (solid state drives), they are less likely to lose data over time (SSD's will slowly discharge over time when not used and can lose data). Fast shipping by B&H.

I use the LaCie 5TB Rugged hard drive as a backup for my faster SSD external hard drives. So far, so good. The hard drive is reliable and performs well.

This is a great way to keep using an SSD (which was an internal hard drive) as an external hard drive. The directions are much improved from the same model that I bought two months ago. It's easy to insert the SSD into the case if you keep an eye on where parts fit together..

This fits my external 2.5 USB 3.0 SSD hard drive really well and gives it good protection and has a place to store the cable. Good value for money and the usual great quality I have come to expect from items sold by B&H.

This SSD drive compared to all similar and regular external hard drives is extremely fast and accurate. So very pleased that I ordered another one.

I have ruined a few external hard drives because of the disc inside was damaged from dropping or bumping them. I found this SSD external hard drive and ordered it for durability. I need to be able to dump my video and photo footage on the fly and carry with me everywhere I go. This external is extremely fast compared to any disc drive. It also has withheld a drop or two from me already. I say get it, and it is worth the extra money. I don't see any reason why this would ever be lower than a 4/5 star rating.

easy to fit a new SSD to clone to original SATA drive, and now it is an extra external hard drive, using the old SATA drive
