Add Second Wireless Router Same Ssid

Replaced router with 6E router to cover more devices and distance. Speed test over 3 story cabin and detached garage is same 114 mbps download. Removed the 3 Netgear 6 extensions because this new router covers property distance and speed impressive. Very happy. Easy setup. Weird that you can’t have one guest ssid like main ssid. So guest is -guest and -5g-guest. Not sure why can’t be one. Only had it installed a week. But happy so far. First time with network armor so education mode on this app to see if I want to subscribe. Shows detection hits on Panasonic camera which we no longer use.

Very easy to set up. Used the same SSID and password chosen for previous router so my devices just connected automatically. I am finally getting the range of coverage I need.

This was a quick setup to extend the wifi from my TP-Link AX3000 wifi router. It copied over the SSID from my router and now I have strong coverage throughout the house.

I have been looking to replace my wireless gateway from Comcast for a while now. Recently some new products such as the Google Home caught my attention since they had multiple access points that are placed around your house. This setup has been used in enterprise for years. The only downfall which made me stay away was the lack of customization and advanced features. Using the Synology Router has been like no other. The user interface is the best I have every used, there are so many features and add-ons, I have yet to use them all. Some key points of the router is the 802.11ac antennas, they also operate at a newer channel so currently I am the only one in my apartment complex to be on this channel. The add-ons that are built into the router are pretty useful, my favorite is intrustion prevention since it will monitor network traffic and alert and or block traffic is reconginizes as being harmful. Overal I love this router, many of the issues I had with the range and connectivity on my old gateway have been resolved with this new router. I will continue to purchase their routers in the future. #sweepstakes

Although B&H listed this on release date as not in stock, and only in limited quantities once it is available. Well, let me tell you I had mine in 3 days after placing the pre-order. Setting the MR2200AC was a breeeze and now I have just 1 SSID for my entire home and yard. The Wi-Fi range is so good, I can go outside and go for about 40 yards before it starts getting weak. This along with the new firmware that updates Synology Router Manager to allow the mesh wireless networking, and a new package that monitors Safe Access for each client are pretty fantastic. Intrusion Protection has also been updated and now it is called Threat Protection. The MR2200AC will do both wireless (5Gig) and wired for the backhaul to the RT2600AC. All management functions of the MR2200AC are done through the RT2600AC, making it very easy to configure and monitor. I highly recommend MR2200AC if you are looking to set up a mesh wireless network. Second set I've bought. Still using the first set I bought years ago but needed two mics. Same if not better than more expensive wireless units I've owned.

First of all, wonderful router. It is everything that it said it would be and more. Super happy with the purchase. Second, B&H will be my go to from now on with electronics. I was loyal to Amazon for 20 years, but the quality has suffered badly in the last year. I continually ordered new products and received used items with them sometimes being defective. B&H shipped me the package in pristine condition as they promised in 2 days. It was packed wonderfully. So happy with B&H. Take my advice and stay away from Amazon for electronics. BH is awesome and will get all of my future high-tech business. Thank you!!
