Adding A 2Nd Monitor To An Optiplex Computer

Dell is reliable, and the Optiplex 7020 gives me what I need in a desktop computer.

I purchased this for a 2nd computer for my wife. As a photographer, I wanted good color accuracy. She was concerned about the look of the monitor over the performance itself (go figure). After multiple comparisons, we targeted this one. The monitor does not disappoint. It has a very slim bezel, both on the front edges and the thickness. Very suitable for a fashion designer concerned about the look. Color performance and contrast are great. The speaker are a throw-in. Barely OK for casual Youtube or Skype. Very tiny speakers with the typical tingy sound. If she wants to listen to music we will plug in a 2.0 Logitech speakers. Highly recommend for a 1080P, casual user.

My 2nd monitor is old and rickety but, hey, it still works. My new computer can't even spell VGA. Now that I have this adapter they play well together

The Dell 23.8 OptiPlex 7420 Plus All-in-One Computer was a breeze to set up and start using. I selected this model to replace an existing Dell computer I used for many years. Does everything I need it to do and works exactly as advertised. I also connected my ancient HP printer to this AIO and it worked without a hitch. Dell got this one right. Nice job!

I have replaced all the DP to VGA adapters for my office computer (Dell OptiPlex 780's). This adapter secures well to the computer and being it has a pigtail it does not extend much past the onboard VGA monitor cable. I have 35 workstations with dual monitors and non of these adapters have failed going on three years.

Installed this in an OptiPlex 7710 SFF computer in the X4 slot. The Win11 operating system detected it and it showed up in the Device Manager as expected.

Bought this Dell Optiplex 7010 to replace an older Dell computer that was getting old and slow. This new one is much smaller than my old unit, runs very quiet and stays cool. First time I have used Windows 11 but I found it pretty intuitive and the initial setup was very easy even for this low tech guy. Can't believe how fast this computer boots up! My only complaint, and this is a Microsoft issue I think, is that the installed media player has no provision to rip CD's that I can find. (Told you I am low tech). That is the main reason I bought a computer with an optical drive. I ended up having to download the legacy media player from the Microsoft store and now I am a happy camper. Great machine so far.

Plugs into the laptop and allows for the use of a 2nd monitor.

Love the computer so far but never got the monitor.
