Adding Windows Computer To Macbook Air Network

I recently moved from a windows platform to a Apple computer and need an adapter to connect my MacBook to my home network. The new computer does not have a Ethernet connection. This works well with my USB hub and keeps everything connected at high speeds.

I've always been a PC user, partly biased by history of coding for Windows, but also largely biased based on the high performance of PCs and the lower cost. At this point, I'm primarily doing audio work. The M-series chips from Apple simply give me more than enough power. Even in a MacBook *Air*. The M2 Air is about twice as powerful as my mid-2020 i7 loaded Dell XPS 17 laptop (which cost me twice what the MacBook Air did). And fan on the PC ran **all of the time**, even when not doing much. On the Air, there *is* no fan, so not going to be a problem! :-) The price of the MacBook Air line is also quite good when compared to similar PC laptops (e.g. Dell XPS line). But MacBooks are better, and the Air offered the great performance and reasonable price for that performance, in spite of paying way too much to upgrade to 1TB of storage. Shipping (even to Hawaii!) was fast and it arrived with no issues. It's hard not to recommend the MacBook Air to anyone, even soon-to-be-former Windows users.

Upgraded for the first time in 12 years. Purchased/returned a Windows laptop, MacBook Air, and finally landed on this MBP. Great daily driver with plenty of CPU/GPU and memory for my low intensity needs. 14” XDR screen is gorgeous. And to boot, got it at a great sale price.

Tested with both my old Windows laptop and new Apple M1 MacBook Air using both CFexpress and XQD cards and worked very well. Also like that it has both type of cables needed for each laptop.

We had the hardest time trying to get this little scanner connected to our network and my MacBook Air. The key? Make sure you have good WiFi connection and that there is minimal people using the WiFi at the time. We tried while we had visitors for three days, nothing. I tried again today (I bought a connector with USB ports for my MacBook) and its just our family here and guess what? It WORKED within 5 minutes!! I scanned my first paper to send to my college instructor and it was SO clear!! As the paper exited the scanner, my 17 year old daughter had the weirdest look on her face, "What did that just do?!". She was amazed that it put the image onto my computer so quickly. This little scanner is saving me right now with being able to scan hand written notes that I would normally turn in to my instructor and email them. So now that I got it to work, I LOVE IT!! I was hating it and was about to return it. Operator error, the scanner is forgiven. ;)

I had a job that required the bandwidth of wired network and all I have is the macbook air. So this little device solved my problem in a major way. A real life saver. Thus the name!

Love the new MacBook Air. It is everything I expect from an Apple computer. Very happy with purchase.

I use this on my MacBook Pro 15 and Windows gaming computer and it worked fast copying to/from when I don't want to hook up a big SSD drive and carry that around.
