Adjust Calibrate Windows Laptop Display Color

Got it very recently for my Windows 8.1 laptop and have only been using it for a few days. Overall my experience has been pretty good. The port on the IR sensor is a mini USB B and there is a slight overhang with the supplied cable since I connect the sensor to a USB on the same side as my laptop. The driver that it came with cannot calibrate this pen at all; I just used the built-in calibration tool. You need to reset the calibration if you want to re-calibrate. The pen is plug-and-play, but you may need to reload any existing browsers to get it working right. I prefer a pretty high resolution, so using the trackpad or trackpoint to move the pointer can be pretty time consuming compared to tapping with the pen. It's also very useful if you don't have enough room to properly use a mouse. Swiping left/right to go back/forward in a web browser is also pretty useful.

It took me less than an hour from the time I opened the box to download the software to calibrate the display on my laptop. I did a second laptop even faster. So far, no issues or problems.

The monitor was well packaged and it arrived 1 1/2 days after I ordered it from B&H. The stand is sturdy and easy to assemble. Once the monitor is attached to the stand, it is easy to adjust the height and angle of the monitor. The factory calibrated colors are excellent, i.e., bright and well saturated without ever looking garish or artificial. It comes with a hotkey puck that fits in a recess in the middle of the stand. It is initially set to adjust the overall brightness of the monitor. I adjusted the brightness down a little bit and got just the look I wanted for my photo editing. I also have to add that the graphics are excellent. Print is easy to read and videos have very nice color. You can also download software from the BenQ website to calibrate the monitor. You have to buy a compatible color meter and the manual provides some general recommendations, e.g., x-rite, calibrate, spyder pro. For my purposes this is an outstanding monitor.

This monitor is quite good, especially for the price. It's missing power delivery and a USB hub, but again not an issue for the price. Solid stand and minimal bezel. Good color and sharpness. An important note for Mac users: By default, the OS will check the High Dynamic Range box in the Display preferences. Be sure to UNcheck that box, otherwise most of the on-monitor controls will be locked out and the color will look bad and severally oversaturated. It is impossible to calibrate unless you un-check HDR. With HDR unchecked and the Picture mode (on-monitor controls) this monitor will run in DCI-P3 mode and calibrate very nicely. (Calibrated with x-rite i1 display pro and basICColor display 6)

Switched from Windows laptop. This MacBook has Good performance, good display, good speakers, good battery, good keyboard and track pad, good camera. And on top of that ....clean MacOS. Overall....nailed the basics of a laptop. I went with the base variant 8gb RAM 256gb SSD and being a software engineer myself....it's good enough computing power for me. Tip : If you get too confused with the colors, get the silver one. It looks the best and the most premium of the bunch in real life. And .....no ugly fingerprints too

This coax cable stripper is easy to adjust or calibrate and of a very high quality.

Understanding how to calibrate color is still required but this device is the best in the industry.
