Adjustable Arm Car Vent Phone Holder

I bought two of these, one for each car, after previous vent-mount AND adhesive mount phone holders had all failed to remain attached. The two point mounting system with a unique hook clamp means that the PD vent mount will not fall off. The adjustment arm allows positioning of the phone in a wide range of positions relative to the vent. The only complaint is that the adjustment arm will slip if not adequately tightened, and the knob has a smooth surface that makes it dependent on your grip strength to get it properly tightened and even then in some positions gravity and road vibration will occasionally work it lose, requiring a readjustment and tightening. This is still the best phone mount I have had and I recommend it for any car with compatible vents.

I've owned several car mounts in the past, but they each had their own problems (magnet not strong enough, difficult to mount/unmount with one hand, cumbersome to adjust angles, etc.). This car mount, however, solved ALL of those problems, and also fixed issues I didn't know I had. The magnet is strong and my phone sticks to it with confidence. The arm separates the mount from the vent just enough, allowing its arm to freely rotate. The locking system firmly grips the vent and does not rattle. The mount also pivots, allowing you to control the angle at which the phone is mounted. And this can all be done using one hand. It's also built like a tank. Absolute game-changer. Worth every penny.

The Peak Car Vent mount simultaneously solves several problems that I've had with other car vent solutions: • other systems just have the friction grip, which can lead to shifting, sliding, or even falling off – Peak solves that with the adjustable top clip that hooks on and tightens up for better stability and a more secure installation • blocking AC or overheating the back of the phone – I love the swing arm that enables me to move the phone clear of the vent for unobstructed air flow • obscured visibility – in my car, the vent is close to the steering wheel so that when using a car mount that hangs in front of the vent, the phone/map is either obscured or in an awkward position; the Peak vent mount's swing arm lets me put the phone in a position of better visibility and less distraction • consistent charging – it's not that I've had a bad charging experience with other products but consistent charging is something I can rely upon with the Peak vent mount. It just removes one potential point of annoyance by meet that basic performance need with a hassle. • No slip Magsafe – When the phone in its Peak case snaps onto the Peak vent mount, I know it's not going anywhere until I'm ready to remove it. Again, it simply eliminates a potential source of annoyance/stress.

This phone holder is perfect for my car. It is just like it was demonstrated in a video I watched. It is adjustable to fit almost any size cup holder. I don't have to stick something on my dash. It is easy to slip my phone in and out. And it has a hole to thread my power cord through, so no mess in the console of my car. (Note: I bought a retractable power cord to make things even better.) I highly recommend this product.

I've had a crappy MagSafe vent mounts before and whenever I take a corner, my phone flies off across my car... This magnet is super strong and I can't see my phone ever falling off.

I have been using PD gear for a while now and also love the car vent mount. It works seamlessly with their phone case and is a joy to use. Most vent mounts have one issue or another, but the PD Mount has been a clean experience. Highly recommended!

Just installed and already feels great. Strong, solid feel out of the box consistent with what I expect from Peak Design products. Clear instructions/warnings and easy to install. Holds the phone securely, easy to adjust phone position and angle without removing mount from car vent. On the pricier side for car vent mounts but feels like a good investment so far.

I've tried a number of vent mount and cup phone holders for my car. This one took first prize. Can suction mount on dash with provided sticky plate or switched to windshield. Nice

Very sturdy car vent mount. A lot better design compared to competitors. Only minor future improvement can consider improving the knob for controlling the mount rotation angle. Since the magnet is strong, if the phone is mounted 90 degree, removing the phone tends to loosen the knob so it will fall back to the bottom. It's a minor concern but I left mine at the bottom so I don't need to readjust the knob.
