I had been using a tabletop tripod. The legs were adjustable. However, they were also flimsy. I just got this one and it is stable. It will hold my phone to do my videoing. It will help me with my business in holding my phone or table to record the videos that I need recorded. 5 |

I have a tabletop studio and the desk it's on is a sit stand adjustable height table, which is about 2.5 thick. Most clamps only cover a table under 2 so they were all out of the question but this one did the job perfectly. It comes with some built in rubber grip to prevent scratches but since my tabletop is covered with glass, I added a small strip of foam for cushioning and these are doing the job really well. They support a Godox SL-150 and even when my table goes up and down, they manage to support it well. 5 |

I use the tabletop mic stand for audio interviews. It's easily adjustable with telescoping shaft, which is also removable for transport. I also bought an adapter in order to attach my Rode mic via its shock mount, which I like - 3/8 Male to 5/8 Female Thread Adapter (Black) by AKG sold at B&H. If you are using double system shooting, i.e. with DSLR w. separate audio, try attaching a bracket with a different or additional adapter that has 1/4 20 male thread, and put your recorder on a ball head and the mounted Rode or shot gun mic on the cold shoe. Works like a dream! The wire clip can be handy, though I didn't need it. The price is great - well worth buying! 5 |
