I'm quite happy with this adjustable C-Stand. It is well-built - meaning sturdy - and much more reasonably priced than a more well-known brand. The adjustable stand leg makes it more versatile in adapting to its location. Yes, there are downsides - these stands, even the smaller ones are very HEAVY, meaning they make better studio stands than having to lug it on location. Also, a 20 riser does not go very high, so it limits your upper placement of a light. However, the stand pole is removable, meaning you can buy a longer pole to make the stand go higher, Finally, the pole sections are not damped, meaning if you loosen a handle too much or too quickly, the pole and the weight it is carrying will come crashing down quite fast. Not good if you don't expect it. 5 |
