The door really closes like a refrigerator, has a good seal. The glass door is strong and the operation of the humidity control is absolutely silent. Fantastic, exactly what I was looking for. Easily adjustable, other reviews described them as delicate but we had no trouble adjusting barn doors or installing the diffuser lenses (they come with a variety of colors and barn doors have to be removed to place them), the case holds them all securely and not too snugly. Literally no complaints here. Cooling fans are quiet, and light quality was great for indoor uses. Honestly for the price they blew me away. Fantastic product and deal. Let me start with the barn door spring tension design they develop for the LUXLI Timpani 2. It fits the Timpani so elegantly and effectively. To remove is even faster and it doesn't leave marks on the light's body. Very impressed. The construction is all metal and the barn door can be tightened in the future if you use it a lot. The way it came, no adjustment was necessary. The barn doors stay where you leave them. The barn doors do the job for what a barn doors set of this size does. But if you need to block even more light spill, a company named Angler makes a softbox for the Timpani 2 and also make the grid for it sold separately if you are also interested. BH #ANLEDSBG1818. Absolutely delivers on its promise. Love how it's not only used for HVAC, but also security with its occupancy sensor. Highly recommend this product and the subscription plan. The annual plan is very affordable given how it does 2 for 1 (HVAC and security). Get it in a bundle for a better value. Trust me when I say the more sensors the better, but don't go too crazy. At least add the door sensors to your doors. Then, the windows you open the most frequently. These ecobee devices can work with many sensors simultaneously. The install was very easy. Just make sure to clean the surface. For doors, make sure the door does not swing and hit the sensor while being close enough for the sensors to work.

The barn door for the Taiko is finally here. They do what they are supposed to do. The primary way I will be using the barn doors is to avoid light spill when placing an extra diffuser disc, flag or panel in front of the Taiko, bouncing the light at a surface for indirect and extra diffused light source, or, also, when I want to prevent light hitting a ceiling or an object I'm trying to avoid being lit. The construction of this barn door is super heavy duty. It's all metal, from the frame to the doors, to the mounting platform. The mounting platform also features a strip rubber material to grip it well when latched. (See pictures). The Taiko features an extra second slide-down rail right next to the area the diffusion panels slide down. That's what I initially imagined the bard door would go when I got the Taiko. Like another reviewer also mentioned, I would rather have the "drop down slide" barn door system instead of the clamp-on to the frame design, but this clamp on barn door design works well too and it mounts very securely. Actually, I wouldn't mind if it were made of plastic. Sometimes plastic is good... But this barn door is very heavy duty and all in all, it does what it's supposed to do, control light spill and light shaping, which is the most important thing. I have also provided some pictures with my review with step by step instructions if you need, as this barn door comes with no instructions in the package (or at least for now it doesn't). I have bought 2 of these because I enjoyed my first one so much. The barn doors chipped when I tried to put them on the light. The door connection to the light could be improved.

Know that the Rotolight barn doors are necessary to use this. It is not at first obvious that the barn door wings slip into almost invisible pockets that are built into the Chimera. A simple installation note would have been a time-saver. Pleasing quality of light. It would be nice if the Rotolight carry-pouch was big enough to include the barn doors and Chimera folded up.
